That was a great article....is it possible that the help our ancient civilazations got was not from aliens of a different planet, but a different time. Possibly  us in the future ,or us even now.

Very interesting, I don't know if it is intriguing but it does offer an sociological look into people from the past and could give us a more well rounded picture of the people who used it.

    Of course not :-)

Evidence comes firstly from the finger, and from the photographs and documention of the finger, from various ancient texts (Bible included), and from other giant skeletons that have been found around the world. See here: http://www.ancient-origins.net/news-evolution-human-origins/giant-footpr...

I think all elements have to be looked at together, you cannot say the Bible alone provides evidence, in the same way that you cannot say that the Mahabarata proves there were fights with flying chariots in the sky. But it is interesting to piece together various account in ancient religious texts with other archaeological discoveries.

"The Nephilim /ˈnɛfɨˌlɪm/ were the offspring of the "sons of God" and the "daughters of men" according to Genesis 6:4; and giants who inhabited Canaan according to Numbers 13:33. "

I'd like to see more genetic testing done if possible. This is probably another species of human that has been hidden.

I really appreciate the work Brien Foerster has done with the Paracas skulls. I had the pleasure of also interviewing him on my radio show. What I would like to point out is the usage of his material to state that the Nephilim have been proven out. This can't be correct based on the fact that the mitochondrial DNA comes from the female side, not the male side. For those pushing the Nephilim theory, the story is that "male" nephilim mated with "human" women not the other way around. I look forward to the work that is yet come from Mr. Brien Foerster.

Wasn't clear...was this DNA submitted to GenBank?

This is absolutely fascinating, the possibility of a new species. I can't wait for the research to have conclusive evidence from this. Our past is so vast and filled with as much mystery as our future.

exactly. it appears we have moved from the 19th century 'god of the gaps' theories to 'anything not terrestrial or human of the gaps' theories.

frankly, they both amount to the same thing: a refusal to take scientific literacy and specialization seriously. instead it's a desire to fill in whatever cannot be currently explained with something 'beyond'. this is probably one of the earliest means of resolving questions of the unknown that humans have exhibited and one of the least successful in terms of actually acquiring real answers.

Read anthropology books prior to 1880 to read about giants. Smithsonian underwent a change of operation around then and giants evaporated.

I don't see how appealing to extra-terrestrial beings helps. It becomes some kind of infinite regression. Did those extra-terrestrial beings get a start up from other from extra-terrestrial beings, who in turn got help from yet other extra-terrestrial beings? It had to start somewhere, so why not on earth? Why push it back when it does not help with the answer to the question of how it all began? Perhaps if we push these extra-terrestrial helps back far enough we come face to face with the original extra-terrestrial creator.

There's a theory amongst mythographers and Indologists that the Nagas (Serpent Gods) of India could have influenced the origins of both the Western dragon and the Asian dragon. It could be seen that the Nagas (and India as a whole) was the Central or Bridge between the East and West. Nagas are a sapient race of serpent creatures known to shapeshift, vary in size and have a plethora of magic (technology) at their disposal. Nagas are also known to have potent venom that could burn demons. Now, as the theory goes, when the Naga myth went Westwards to the Middle East, the Naga transformed into the Basilisk. In India, there are also tales of "Naga Kanyas" or Serpent Princesses. They are related to the Dragon Ladies of China and Japan. Now, some of these Naga Kanyas - when went Westwards - have become the Gorgons, Lamia and Dracaenas of Graeco-Roman Myth. As the Basilisk's and Naga's fiery venom and gaze transformed into fire, the Nagas could eventually become the dragon we all know today. As to how the Western Dragon got wings? We could think of numerous possibilities. Pterosaur fossils could have yielded to wyvern or dragon tales. Nagas could have been mixed together with other indigenous European creatures - similar to how the Naga was assimilated to the wolves and tigers to become the Asian dragon. Or... aliens :-)

Anthropos323 makes a valid point. Discoveries can only be gained by maintaining a calm emotional compsure and by focusing on facts. Nonetheless, there needs to be further in depth research regarding on this matter. Research on this needs to be continued. We also have to consider about the climate and the terrain during the Prehistoric World as well. I'm not an expert in palaeoanthropology so please excuse me if my explanation isn't well refined. My thoughts however are these ~ Bones and fossil finds alone aren't enough to pin point the origins. We must consider other various factors such as environment too. Hominid species, as well as most primates in general, would need vegetation and warmer weather to thrive in. Such a habitat offers abundancy in fruits, insects and trees (diet and habitat respectively). As far as environment is concerned, Africa appears to have a more suitable habitat for hominid and primate species than Europe. Africa was and is also home to various megafauna. Not sure if this leads to any conclusions, though all I'm mentioning is that we have to think and reflect on other factors (e.g. habitat, possibility, climatology etc.) as well. Different opinions are welcomed, but let's try to have a civil discussion going on. Like I mentioned before, discoveries can only be made by being calm, emotions under control and by focusing on facts. Facts and findings are the ones that should not be controlled. It is peoples' attitudes that need to be. And lastly, we need to get Dr. Poulianos to safety from government intervention.

The out of Africa theory is almost obsolute, we have evidence of people coming from Europe and traveling into the America before the Clovies came from Asia, we have genetics showing that there are tribes in China that have been then longer than any other tribe or clan and that they are white people. The world has changed some many times of the year, between ice ages and natural disasters, that what we think is often off base. There is no such thing as a world wide flood due to the fact that in the remote past peoples view of the "world' was so limited. We have globes, maps, GPS, and sattelities now, we know what the "world" is, back then the world was their region or geographical location.

Could have been trial and erroe over time but it seems like at this point these people had this down if not perfected by then so how further into the past does this come from?

Does this not also give creedence to the idea that there were factories in the remote past where items were massed produced, maybe not on our level today but it was nothing to be scoffed at. Rome had factories, why not other civilization even further into antiquity.

I guess it is posible that the ant people couild visually represent those of Africa. I have heard credible theories that people from Europ may have came to America at the same time as the Clovis poeple arriving here from Asia. People have been traveling the world for longer than we think.
