What comes to mind when you think of Vikings? Pillaging and plundering? Battle cries and warrior spirit? What about partying? That's right, Vikings knew how to have a good time, too. Mead halls, the party epicenters of Viking society, were where people came together to socialize, eat, drink, and be merry. These massive buildings were a symbol of a powerful lord's wealth and status, and their parties could last for days. With live music performances and fashion being just as important as the food and drink, Viking parties were the ultimate social events, providing a chance to let loose and celebrate life. So, what exactly were Viking parties like?
