War as many other afflictions on humans correlates well with the arrival of the dark forces and the subsequent rearrangement of human social organization from small participatory tribes to alienated and hierarchical mega societies.
And then there's chocolate for the Aztecs (and us), which should be noted, as chocolate's active ingredient is not caffeine, but theobromine which translates to "food of the gods."
Based on geometric drawings found in the Southwest United States I previously calculated America was occupied at least circa 14,500 years ago. This is a few hundred years older than prediction….
"Like any good Celt, the prince seems to have enjoyed his drink ..." Seriously? Everyone drank alcohol. The water was unsafe. Why use this cliche in such an otherwise good article?
Skull KV55 is noted on Wikipedia as being the skull of Ahkenaton and then Smenkare? Normally the skull is thought to be that of Ahkenaton I believe but not Smenkare. As for observation and believing your own eyes that’s what I’ve been saying for a long time now. That is, you can see modern people today walking the streets who have some very Neanderthal features and some of whom even have the characteristic bun at the base of the skull. You can also see the Homo erectus type, the Homo habilis type, etc. And what are we to make of the newborns who have tails and/or furry bodies with some looking more ape-like than H. sapien when they are born? These species didn’t go extinct. They are still here with us and IMO they are inbred with modern humans.
Ahkentaton's skull does have some very Neanderthal featuress from observation in my opinion by the way. But his skull also has some features unlike those typically attributed to Neanderthals. For instance the elongated skull is NOT a Neanderthal feature. Yet, it is not a Homo sapien, H. erectus, H. habilis feature either. So what is it? Obvious to me is the Ahkenaton was not a pure bred Neanderthal but a creature of mixed blood, that is, Neanderthal and ?????
I do not think Neanderthals were the cavemen carrying the clubs type brutes. In fact, we've given them a rather bad rap IMO. We know they made jewelry, buried their dead, made clothing, etc. These are all signs of culture not of some caveman. I think they had culture and I think they achieved many things culturally and we’ve got to break out of this mold that they were barbaric cavemen because the evidence says they were NOT.
As for Esau we know he was covered in thick reddish hair/fur. We know he was a hunter, a bit of a wildman of the wilderness. What was he? An Australopithecine? H. habilis? Some other species of man? We don’t know frankly. And what about Noah? Jewish legend says he was born covered in white fur/hair. What was he? Again we don’t know.
You raise some valid points and observation IS important. What has happened in the field of human evolution is that we have shut our eyes to the obvious and tried to cramp fossil finds into our pet theories nice and neat. Problem is they are NOT fitting nice and neat and are sticking out at the seams!
143,000 years ago Homo erectus walked the earth. 200,000 years ago Homo heidelbergensis also walked the earth. Both coexted and overlapped and most paleoanthropologists today believe several species of ancient human ancestors coexisted for a time. MS science says H. sapiens are presently the only species and all other ancient human ancestors are now extinct. I do NOT adhere to that theory as the norm has been several Homo species coexisting so why not today? Yes the further back in time we move the greater the number of "missing links” (aka: Transitional species). There are similarities to these ancient hominids but there are also some blatant differences. Essentially you are right but I’d like to know your thoughts as to if we didn't evolve here (on Earth) then where do you think we evolved?
I love the history of mining, whether it is the gold rush or ancient mining. Thank you very much for the information. Honestly, I had never thought about the gold needed to be mined by the Roman Empire. I don't know why, I mean it makes sense! Nice article, thank you again.
As a young sailor , I would try my luck panning for gold whenever I could get off the ship . San Diego (California) county has lots of places where you could pick up a few flakes . Instead of using a sheep's fleece , I used a piece of fine thread carpet in the bottom of my rocker box . Didn't get rich , but had a lot of fun .
Well, based on what we know these days, compared to 100, 50, 25 or even 10 years ago, what we have here is another case of very old archaic African extinct monkey bones. We know now that there were various different types of hominids walking the continent that we today call Africa, these bones probably very well did have a history with todays African peoples, as we know that large segments of them contain dna from an extinct species of hominid about one million years ago. True Cro-Magnon and Neanderthal skeletal remains have never been found in Africa. I also notice that the reconstructions and physical recreations always look very much like todays Africans, and not Eurasians. I've come across many blacks who look like Lucy and the extinct Homo Erectus portrayed at the top left
I read several months a ago, that Adolf Hitler’s mother was a Jew. Wasn’t sure how true that was, both it does make some sense considering the ferocity of his vengence of the world’s Jewish population.
Looking at the detail of what is, I think, called a Stegosaurus from Ankhor Wat dated 1186AD, either we did definitely have lots of direct contact with dinosaurs or the sculpture was given a dream or vision which he managed to record for us all in stone.
Yes, the ‘Jews’ believe in the Elohim and in that being you refer to as Jehovah. Back in the day, Abraham was polytheistic; it says so in the histories. Back when he lived in the ‘Land of Ur’. He also was taught, in Ur, by a priest that he should specifically lift his prayers up to the chief ‘God’, the God above the other Gods, titled as El Elohim, this same God that you colloquially call Jehovah. It was a descendent child of one of his son’s that the ‘Jews’ are named for. More specifically, the descendants of Israel, that lived in the region of Judeah, in the land of the Cannonites the survivors of the Exodus form Egypt conquered.
It is quite possible that Abraham worshipped all of the Elohim, seeing as the people surrounding him also worshipped them as Holy People. He just elected to worship one of them as the greatest of them, the El Elohim. It is also highly probable that these Elohim are one and the same people that the Sumerian peoples worshipped as Gods. Considering that ‘Ur’ is, or was, in Mesopotamia, which is exactly the same region that the Sumerians lived. Could Abraham actually be Sumerian? It’s a thought.

The westerly longitude is merely the one that fits. On the Avebury map, only the latitudes are given.
Ralph
Fascinating! How did you arrive at the latitude in the article, W 1.8541980.

To Quote Bob Marley “Most people say, Great God come from the sky, take away everything, and make everybody feel high
But IF you know what life is worth you will look for yours on Earth, Now you see the light, Stand up for your right!”
