Have you ever heard of the Lost City, or Ciudad Perdida, high up in Colombia's isolated Sierra Nevada mountain range? This remarkable 500-year-old city was built by the Tayrona people and is estimated to have housed around 2,000 to 3,000 people at its peak. Despite its significance, the Lost City was only discovered by archaeologists in recent decades after being looted for its gold.

Today, archaeologists continue to explore this dense jungle to uncover the mysteries of this lost civilization.
