My idea is that human civilization was more advanced than we thought. They unified Earth and started using a universal language. They built a space elevator to explore the stars but a rival alien civilization(gods) sent them back them back to the stone ages. Just a thought
I'm with you Rizzman, I was trying to figure out how infant gibberrish and religious fanatics "speaking in tongues" are able to communicate at a higher level than us "normies" but the response is a blatant attempt to distract and throw judgement on you. I thought your questions were valid. Seems to me your ego and use of logic are pretty normal but the arrogance and sense of superiority is quite vast with the "babbler".
Looking at those photos Jason, there is nothing natural about these structures--look at the doorways, they have support worked into the stones above and around them and all are as similar as is humanly possible. Whatever they are men made them.
If we are going to discuss ancient construction errors of the great pyramid (khufu pyramid?) why is it there's a picture of the second largest pyramid in Egypt (khafre pyramid?).
I am a 76 yr old man who lives in a wheelchair in a long term care unit in a hospital in Iowa. I came here to die, and am using facebook to post my experiences as a Christian for those who may benefit from it. Also, I am very interested in archaeology and paleoarechaeology in particular, especially with regard to human evolution. Being a physics major at the U of Iowa (BA, 1968), all science interests me. But, I cannot travel, and spend my days on my trusty laptop, exploring more vicariously than I ever did in person. My condition is terminal spinal stenosis, but I use every moment to simply learn about this world our LORD has made. Blessings upon your efforts!
Agreed: well within error tolerance - and this line is telling, even without the typo: "The results surprised the researchers, who proved that the pyramid originally measured between 230.3 and 230.4 meters (755.6 and 755.8 feet), while the west side of the pyramid originally measured somewhere between 230.4 to 230.4 meters (755.8 and 756.0 feet)."
Even IF this were true, it's taken until 2016 to demonstrate the putative error - and we could still not construct it to the existing level of accuracy today.
Sorry - meant to get back to you earlier. George Smith was fortunate to have caught the eye of Sir Henry Rawlinson, who was not only a trustee of the British Museum, but also responsible for one of the early translations of the Behistun enscriptions. It was Rawlinson who hung off the side of the cliff in Iran coying the texts. He was also responsible for deciphering Old Persian, which enabled him to work out the Babylonian cuneiform. Smith was wangled a job at the British Museum by Rawlinson, where he was able to spend hours poring over the clay tablets that carried the Chaldean story of Genesis as well as the Epic of Gilgamesh.
Sigh. I believe a construction error of 5" in 755' translates to thousands of a percent accuracy.
And note that they are basically "guessing" what the original measurements were, and the variance in their numbers could account for some of that 5".
Science - especially archaeology - ain't what it used to be.
Maybe they aren't required to take math.
A few remarkable technologies emerged from this totally flawed society based upon the resource of slavery where life and death was very unpredictable for all except the elite.

Does anybody have any empirical proof as to when the Great Pyramid was built? Why do we keep going with Khufu?

Pretty sure it was Roanoke Island in NC, not Roanoke, Virginia. Just thought I'd bring that up.
Please read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee for a good collection of stories from the North American Indian point of view.
