I have to say that reading the comments for this article, has been an interesting experience. The racial issue brought up seems shallow and not well founded at all. The focus on the incest issue seems almost as absurd as the racial issue. There are current populations that still use and allow incest as a norm. One of the societal values of incest was that you knew the family of the mate. And incest has only been taboo for less than 100 years.
I also agree that basing "norms" or "facts" from the DNA study of ONE toe bone from ONE female is as arrogant and ignorant as most main stream scientists. I find Neanderthals completely fasinating, I also believe that they have gotten a totally bad wrap from the 'experts'. As we learn more we will find that they were much more human that most modern examples. And they came in different shades and sizes including olive skin tone with blue eyes and considering that no true neanderthals have existed for tens of thousands of years that kinda debunks the non-black races only showing up 5000 years ago.
If we are to entertain ideas like aliens in the past, then I think you have to entertain the possibility of time travel, it something like the Bermuda triangle, to name just one triangle. What if they went through time or a portal and that is how their iconography resembles our modern aircrafts. Or people were more advanced than we give them credit,
Could be markers, from above or on the ground, could be multipurpose. It could of been used for sacrifices or a lookout point since they couldn't build with wood.
In addition, I do not mean to deminish the 'value' as not being worthy, only that it is pretty recent for ancient or origin studies :-) But it is of great sideline or confirming value for the aforementioned legend/myth. :-)
The only real 'value' that I see in this article is that it 'proves' the legend/myth of Queen Sheba traveling to the court of King Solomon and their having a son, whom when he became of age traveled to meet his father. The legend/myth also states that their son returned to Africa with members of his father's people. Thus the legend of the Ark being hidden in Ethiopia.
While I appreciate the questions raised by Ancient Alien Theorists, I am not as convinced as they are about how plain it is that our past has been so full of alien contact. That being said the comment about the visions being the source of the images, is a very believable theory for the orgin of the images. Considering that it appears that our ancestors were much more intune and accepting of things that we consider to be supernatural or paranormal. I find it insulting for scientists to discount the probable beliefs of past peoples cause it is beyond their norm or logic or reason or ability. The concept that we are so much more advanced than any other culture ever on the planet is arrogant and ignorant.
I am also in the agreement boat. they were true problem solvers...they literally used the resources on hand...not man made crap (plastic and other things that continue to polluate our enviroment).
i can only imagine the amount of information that has been lost...both on purpose and just to time...i only wish someday that it may truly be recovered...
well not only did they get here, they knew how to document that they were here, and maps like this are the proof. i wish they taught map-making in schools other than such and such person made a map...even though nearly everything is mapped already, it's a skill that no one i know possesses. i wouldn't even know where to begin!!
what you must also consider is this: people had visions of the future, perhaps, and i've stated this before on other futuristic websites..perhaps the people or a person had a vision of the future, as people do have visions, and those futuristic vehicles is what they saw. i think my lil theory holds more water than people running around and digging up the desert for non existent helicopters and submarines.
Science admits it is wrong only when forced to. Seems to me science has become a religion itself. Oh and science is an offshoot of religion. Child of, so to speak. Do all children treat their parents badly? In this age it seems so.
It's not the first time are bunny friends have helped some area under protection have also helped uncover items that archaeologists have not been allowed to dig for.... three cheers for them....

Good point, just another idea that needs considered,

Maybe all those step Pyramids scattered all over Egypt are markers, to be seen from above, airborne.??

I appreciate the alien-god-dragon theory! :) suites my interests!

just because the masses don't understand it, doesn't mean the answer isn't simple.

Your point about the flood is very valid. What was considered as the 'World' in ancient times was completely different to what we consider today.
So references to Flood by different civilizations may be restricted to specific areas of the World.
Totally agree with you.
