Jukkit Suksawa is a Thai artist who has been creating traditional mother-of-pearl inlay, a 700-year-old tradition, for the past 30 years. Suksawa's dedication to preserving ancient Thai art forms and his skillful craftsmanship have earned him a reputation as a master artisan.

Jukkit carefully selects and cleans each shell before using a chisel to carve intricate patterns and designs onto the surface. These snail shell carvings can take up to a month to complete and are highly valued by collectors, with some pieces selling for thousands of dollars. Suksawa's commitment to his craft is a testament to the beauty and significance of traditional Thai art and serves as an inspiration for future generations of artists to keep these ancient traditions alive.
