Professor Sally Foster from Stirling University has revealed the fascinating fate of dozens of small fragments from Scotland's legendary Stone of Destiny, solving a seven-decade mystery surrounding pieces separated during a secretive repair in 1951. The fragments, numbering 34 in total, were distributed worldwide by stonemason and nationalist politician Robert "Bertie" Gray following the stone's dramatic theft from Westminster Abbey on Christmas Day 1950, according to BBC News.
