My favourite fairy tale is The Little Match Girl by Hans Christian Andersen. So sad and beautiful at the same time.

Hilariously the Berbers though not typically on the best of terms with the Egyptians, asked for their help when the Greeks invaded North Africa, according to Herodotus the Greek army destroyed the assistance provided by Egyptians so that, "none were able to return"

I really hate misinformation ! Nemesis or Anciently they called it the GREAT DESTROYER, IS the Sister Sun to our Sun ! The Star Never Lit, so its now a volcanic Planet. The Reason why it is here is its on its fly-by 3600 year run, and has About 6 or 7 smaller planets going in orbit around it, one of them being Nibiru. This time is called “The Crossing” ! Just Pray WE don’t get Clobbered by 1 of the planets!  This is also why we have climate change as it is heating up our sun, so the caps are melting a bit, as soon as it passes out of Our solsr system, things wii settle down and get back to normal. Plus behind this Rogue system, it is Dragging a bunch of Space debris, pray we don’t run into that either! This Sister Solar System was known by the Summerians and other ancients! Hopefully this Fly-by will swing wide of earth.

Wonder how he reconciled he belief in faeries with his belief in the Christian God. Did he believe the faeries were angels, demons or a previously unknown third party? His actions imply that he considered them as a benevolent group, even supposedly choosing to stay with them, so how did he view them from his Christian context

This article actually explains it well.

    https://www.ancient-origins.net/myths-legends/ancient-pagan-origins-easter-001571

One theory that has been put forward is that the Easter story of crucifixion and resurrection is symbolic of rebirth and renewal and retells the cycle of the seasons, the death and return of the sun.

According to some scholars, such as Dr. Tony Nugent, teacher of Theology and Religious Studies at Seattle University, and Presbyterian minister, the Easter story comes from the Sumerian legend of Damuzi (Tammuz) and his wife Inanna (Ishtar), an epic myth called “The Descent of Inanna” found inscribed on cuneiform clay tablets dating back to 2100 BC. When Tammuz dies, Ishtar is grief–stricken and follows him to the underworld. In the underworld, she enters through seven gates, and her worldly attire is removed. "Naked and bowed low" she is judged, killed, and then hung on display. In her absence, the earth loses its fertility, crops cease to grow and animals stop reproducing. Unless something is done, all life on earth will end.

After Inanna has been missing for three days her assistant goes to other gods for help. Finally one of them Enki, creates two creatures who carry the plant of life and water of life down to the Underworld, sprinkling them on Inanna and Damuzi, resurrecting them, and giving them the power to return to the earth as the light of the sun for six months. After the six months are up, Tammuz returns to the underworld of the dead, remaining there for another six months, and Ishtar pursues him, prompting the water god to rescue them both. Thus were the cycles of winter death and spring life.

David Morris. Well it is obvious the OT was written and or put together by Hebrew priests. The NT was written and or put together by Roman Aritstocrats. And they just combined the two. The Romans made more of a hero god and the Hebrew priests made more of a dictator god. Both gods may or may not of existed. It is my understanding that the NT Jesus never existed but based off of other entities and godmen. It’s possible the the OT god was based off of Enlil of the Sumerian tales. He seemed to be the one that wanted to keep humans slaves and or get rid of them.

Other than the first two paragraphs I don't think there was much of a schlong measuring contest between the two.

what I find interesting more is that this would indicate a culture that spread or was in contact with others over a large distance. It's not like two separate groups dreamed up the same idea of a henge independently.

    makes you wonder

why must we have these puerile comparisons, ‘My henge is bigger than your henge...’ and why just limit the discussion to Anglo-Germanic rivalies.. there are other cultures in the same period with henges yet they are conspicously absent from the article.  What is found at Pömmelte adds to knowledge but to reduce it to ‘mine is bigger than yours’ is absurd.  Both henges are unique and offer much insight, and compared to other henges of the same period there is a tantalizing vision of religious development.. some should be looking at it how it evolved and devolved not doing size / quantity comparisons as the only meaningful data.

to me, ignorant of the site, i welcome the news of their existence as it has rather lifted the lid on the ages of similar, if not all stone structures. If these indeed date to some 70,000 years BEFORE Stonehenge ,Callanish, Carnac and Avebury, and the Egyptian pyramids, then an explanation for stones no longer native to these sites, and claimed to have been somehow lifted and moved from miles away may be that a preceeding Ice Age resulted in that layer of stone being scraped away and removed, leaving only a few precious Bluestone and other remnants to be used for their decorative and other value, subsequently. These South African constructions, for constructions in fact they are, say to me that they are the remnants of homes, and that farmers with their livestock lived in them, but that one or more were designed as calendars as is here claimed, and a very long time ago

Sorry, but the car stopped so my mate could go take a dump behind those trees over there. However, he was disturbed by the arrival of the moose, which was kinda distracting, and I carried on recording for a laugh. it was only when we later checked it out on a big screen in the house, that it became obvious we could rewrite History and fool everyone into believing something quite different, as the figure is not exactly identifiable, and hey, it worked!

Well, Thoth101, if god never changes then that means the god of the old and new testament must be very different entities. One is harsh and unforgiving... The other is accepting, even of unclean things like gentiles (which are unclean according to Jewish people)
