  • Reply to: Architect presents radical new theory that Stonehenge was a two-storey, wooden feasting and performance hall   8 years 4 weeks ago
    Comment Author: Colin Berry

“Our bronze-age ancestors were intelligent people with needs similar to ours today. Forget the furry loin cloth and ritual sacrifice stuff - it's wrong.”

But it wasn’t Bronze Age. Stonehenge is late Neolithic, still Stone Age, with copper just starting to make an appearance, but for pastoral folk at any rate, woven clothes, not fur.

Yes, they were intelligent folk, but still had practical problems that needed attending to, like how best to dispose of the dead. I have just posted my new updated theory, which views Stonehenge and other sites with standing stones as places for “sky burial”.

    https://sussingstonehenge.wordpress.com/2016/04/17/might-the-standing-st...

The upright stones, and especially level lintels of Stonehege, provided secure places on which scavenger birds – especially crows and seagulls – could perch, roost and maybe even nest. Reminder: sky burial is one of the available options that can be classified as ‘passive excarnation’ – defleshing of the dead. Simple burial would have been laborious and time-consuming on the chalk uplands of Wiltshire (deer antler picks only!) and cremation probably seen as a criminal waste of firewood, needed for cooking and keeping warm.

Overall I do not agree with the link between Eric Haroldson and Eric Bloodaxe.

Eric Bloodaxe is linked to a foster father who lived in Iceland. If Eric Bloodaxe’s father was Harold Fairhair it would seem strange to let Eric be fostered by a Lord who had fled his armies to Iceland?

It should be also noted that describing this time there is a papal letter written by the King of England that mentions a King Eric of Scotland. This King Eric does not appear in the Scottish King list. But there is a King Eric the Victorious of Sweden...his son King Olaf was called King Olaf Scotkonung.

Now here is the problem….Scotland did not exist in the 10th century. But there is a very simple and very obvious solution :-))) everyone is talking about the wrong Scotland (and before you have any ideas, nope it is not in Ireland, and no it is not in Sweden)

I am now writing a new book that completely rewrites a huge chunk of European history.

  • Reply to: ‘Sensational’ Find is NOT Cleopatra’s Tomb, But May Be a Clue   8 years 4 weeks ago
    Comment Author: Joe Stitzel

I believe that after Cleopatra was buried, it may have not been long when isis temple was crumbled, taken down, to help hide her from thieves. More importantly, most of the isis temple, bits/pieces were used to fill in the shafts Dr. Martinez has found. Those bone fragments are from those who may have commited crimes, against those who wanted to keep her burial place a secret. Those deep shafts can confuse anyone, trying to find her tomb. I bet her tomb is completely intact, with a reinforced, painted ceiling. The priests and buriers could have taken their time, doing what it takes to ensure the queens eternal safety.
And Yes that papyrus Dr.Thompson is reading, is Cleopatra's own hand writing. I firmly believe that ! Who else, would write that kind of document..?
If you look closer at the tunnels, they have a shape that is wider at stomach height, (that is evidence) to carry a, sarcophagus ! why else would they have that wide condition. Or a misleading ruse for future thieves. This can also mean that there may be a hidden wall, that was made at the so called end of these two north and south tunnels, I would not hurt to go an extra step to see if there are, phony made walls, where those tunnels, stop.
After she died and it was beyond determined egypts last ruler was gone, theisis temple had no more purpose, except to protect the one who was last. And additionally to keep their lasts rulers sleep, restful. Besides, they knew rome just could not know where she and Mark Antony were buried..
But then If rome did find out, they thus destroyed the isis temple, never knowing she was just below their destructive feet. Yes I think most of the found shafts so far, are purposely filled in, to indeed detour anyone from finding the lovers, buried together..
Since there is overwhelming evidence Cleopatra worshiped at the isis temple, That she perhaps knew her great great great great grandfather built, she wanted to be buried there, she may have had secret plans for it to happen, just as many rulers plan their burials, she had 22 years to think it over; but as it turned out, she Had to be buried there anyway, since the romans grew to hate her.
I wonder if that woman buried could have been Cleopatra's pregnant daughter ??
I think the Dr. needs to use ground penetrating radar in all her shaft finds :)

I often wonder where they are all buried, so popular/famous/wealthy/powerful, are their tombs such a mystery ?
Plus all the roman delegates at the time, i mean everyone has a tomb or burial place. They would probably be labeled also with inscriptions. These questions, Desire answers :)

  • Reply to: Why do Ice Ages occur? A New Paradigm Shift on a Prehistoric Problem   8 years 4 weeks ago
    Comment Author: DAVID TOWLE

I have no problem with the theory of ice being here in North America. I have a problem with so called glaciers that were here. As every one knows, what moves a glacier is gravity and glaciers are pulled down hill. But many claim that glaciers went up hill, some many thousands of feet up hill. This is a really big lie as there is no glacier on earth that goes up hill. They don't tell you that there are two things that can make glacial formations. One of course is a glacier the other is moving water and moving water can go up hill. They used to say tell a lie three times and it will become truth, but some of us still know its a lie.

not really that sneaky, more like in your face advertising.. this site is pathetic these days, I've gone from daily visits to occasional drop-ins when I'm sent here by a link. to go from what it was to this trash is really rather sad. nearly every piece is an ad dressed up as an article, where the phrase "in my new book" crops up in the first few paragraphs. ancient origins sucks!!!!!!

    Goodwinre,

I came across some information on the Columbia River channel while looking for information of climate change.
Ancient Glacial Lake Bonneville drained into the Columbia River. and there were melt water trenches from the glaciers that drained into the Columbia River as well.

But then, I found the above information in a book which is good because that is something one is not likely to see.

There is a chain of undersea mounts that run from Easter Island to South America around the point where the Nazca Plain is - it was pointed out in one of the (Hancock?) books I believe, and that island chain would have been above water during the ice age, so it is quite likely that the original inhabitants got to Easter Island that way- and maybe those moai are a hint that they were looking for something as told by their ancients - I think those moai all look East don't they ?
