10,000-year-old rock paintings depict UFOs and extra-terrestrials, claims archaeologist
The State Department of Archaeology and Culture in Chhattisgarh, India, is seeking assistance from the Indian Space Research Organisation to research a set of ancient rock paintings found inside caves near the town of Charama in Kanker district, in the tribal Bastar region, according to a news report in the Times of India. According to one archaeologist, the art reflects the belief among ancient humans that we are not alone in the universe.
The Indian state of Chhattisgarh has an abundance of ancient rock paintings, according to their website. Many sites have painting of humans and animals in everyday scenes. However, some researchers have referred to more unusual paintings, such as those depicting what appear to be kangaroos and giraffes, which are not native to the country, as well as human-fish hybrid creatures. Now, it is claimed that aliens and UFOs can be added to this collection.
“The paintings are done in natural colors that have hardly faded despite the years. The strangely carved figures are seen holding weapon-like objects and do not have clear features. Specially, the nose and mouth are missing. In few pictures, they are even shown wearing space suits,” said archaeologist JR Bhagat.
Bhagat, who has studied the rock art, claims that the newly-discovered depictions date back some 10,000 years, although the dating method has not been clarified. Bhagat suggests that the images may depict extra-terrestrials and UFOs as the paintings include large, humanoid beings descending from the sky, some wearing what looks like a helmet or antennae, as well as a disc-shaped craft with three rays (or legs) coming from its base.
"The findings suggest that humans in prehistoric times may have seen or imagined beings from other planets which still create curiosity among people and researchers. Extensive research is needed for further findings. Chhattisgarh presently doesn't have any such expert who could give clarity on the subject," Bhagat told the Times of India.

Bhagat explained that there are several beliefs among locals from the area. While few worship the paintings, others narrate stories they have heard from ancestors about "rohela people", which translates to “the small sized ones”. According to legend, the rohela people used to land from sky in a round shaped flying object and take away one or two persons of village who never returned. However, Bhagat does concede, “We can’t refute possibility of imagination by prehistoric men.”
Bhagat has not made reference to the fact that the paintings in question depict what, in other contexts, archaeologists typically identify as shamanic images of humans, human-animal hybrids, and geometric forms. Images of figures with antlers, antennae, or spirit rays are familiar, and in fact quite common, in shamanic art.
The research on the rock paintings is ongoing, and Bhagat says more archaeologists will be consulted to help identify the mysterious creatures and objects in the ancient artwork.

All over the World many cultures have made lots of symbols which are very similar indeed, except form some local variances which is connected to symbols of specific animals.
We all live on the same Earth, in the same Solar System, in the same Milky Way galaxy in the same part of the observable Universe and these cosmological facts are included in all the cultural tellings and imagery in the Stories of Creation all over the World.
Petroglyphs or Rock Arts from all over the world depicts these stories of creation, showing star constellations and esspecially the Milky Way countours which humans all over the world have symbolized in the human mind as "great gods and goddesses in the Sky" or as animal creators and even as antropomorhip images moving around in the Sky.

The claim of ET in art is far from a recent issue. Claims of ET in archaeology art and ancient art gained popularity in the late 1960's. Mr. JR Bhart discoveries and claims are just the most recent.
However, these ET claims are not the most amazing. The claims of ET in archaeology from Mexico with sculptures of "cone headed" creatures must qualify as not only the most amazing but the most plausible.
In fact, these artifacts from Mexico seem to support the belief in intelligent non human civilization in Mexico at least to the time of the dinosaurs and maybe upwards of 200 million years.
We have researched the existence of extremely ancient civilization on Earth for some years and have dated the pyramids to 28 million years ( see "Could the Pyramids Be 28 Million Years Old" here in Ancient Origins opinion section dated Nov. 2013).
The Fermi Paradox is interesting, but it only suggests we might be alone in the universe IF a whole stack of mainstream assumptions are true.
That's why I find it interesting: it highlights the flaws in certain areas of mainstream thinking. It says a lot about humans, but very little about ETs.
If you have difficulties with the idea that we MIGHT be alone in the universe, it is worth looking into Enrico fermi's paradox, which certainly renders this possibility probable, even if counter-intuitive
regardless of what anyone thinks of ancient astronauts i seriously love the idea of it. i can't believe that we are alone in the universe.
