The treasures of the 18th Dynasty pharaoh Tutankhamun were first discovered by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon in 1922 when they uncovered his tomb in the Valley of the Kings. The Gympie Pyrimid is a pyrminid locted in Gympie, Australia. There have been many objects found there that do not fit in with the theory that it was built in the 19th-20th century. Some out of place objects that have been found in the area are statues of Hindi gods and gold. I think it could have been a place were the native Australians may have worhsiped.

The Islamic State militant group has bulldozed the ancient archeological site of Nimrud in Iraq near Mosul according to media reports. Reportedly heavy military vehicles were used to accomplish the feat. The Nimrud site was considered one of the most important archaeological sites in the world and has been compared to King Tut’s tomb in terms of artifacts and the wealth of information derived from the stie. The ancient city was the second capital of the Assyrians. However, this is not the only site ISIS has destoyed.
