The Great Year = One Precession of the Equinoxes Cycle in which our Star Sun completes one full cycle revolving around the Sirius Binary star system lasting approximately 25,920 years.

The relative position of the stars in the sky is known to shift by 1 degree every 72 years.

72 x 360 degrees = 25,920 year cycle.

This is same as the Mahayuga cosmic cycle.

This has been divided into 4 Yugas lasting 90 degree shifts each, Each lasting approx. 6,480 years.
