Oblique impacts are less common than normal impacts, but they are common enough. Search "oblique impacts" in Google Images and you can see several images from the moon and Mars of oblique impact craters.
I'm not sure the Tunguska event was an impact; it seems to have exploded before it made contact with the surface...

FYI, The Holy Grail does not exist now and never has. The legend originated from a fictitious story and stories created in the Middle Ages. That was the same time they started crafting and embellishing the 'fair maidens', 'gallant knights', King Arthur themes and Templar's romanticism. Research it for yourself!!! ! Research everything and question everything you have heard, been told/taught or think about historical events and artifacts. There is no Holy Grail. It was all made up and people are chasing after a non existent item without even understanding that it's just bunk.

If I’m not mistaken I believe the author has tried to secure Uni testing facilities for this exact purpose - He refers to it in the comments somewhere.  We know how difficult securing these facilities may be when the testing doesn't fit into the current paradigm though….

Whenever there in social inequality , injustice is happening to any nation of the world west took front seat to built and bring back of the victims to normal life whether its 1st world war,2nd world war or recent Syrian civil war. You have hit on one of the main areas of contention in this subject--if there was a large impact event over the North American ice sheet that brought about the end of the Last Glacial Maiximum, where is the impact structure? There should be a crater, but despite extensive searches, no identifiable crater structure has been found.

One possibility that has been put forward is that the impact was of a type known as an oblique impact. Oblique impacts are unique, because the impactor does not embed itself into the crust of the planet. The angle of approach is so low that the impactor just grazes the crust, after which it continues on its journey and heads back out into space. This results in a total lack of normal, recognizable crater structure.

So the possibility of an oblique impact may explain why no significant crater has been found. Oblique impacts also have a signature "butterfly wing" ejecta pattern, a pattern that is displayed in the dispersal of the Carolina Bays.
One other interesting implication of an oblique impact is the destruction it would have caused to the ice sheet. A normal impact would have penetrated the ice down to the crust, but an oblique would have plowed a trough through the ice for many miles both before and after making contact with the crust.

For several weeks now there has been quite a lot of publicity around a group of archaeologists who through high tech scanning have identified what they believe is a tomb behind the wall of Tutenkhamun tomb, which they say is the tomb of Nefertiti. It would be a wonderful discovery if the tomb is in tact as the scan shows and if it really does belong to Nefertiti. As has been pointed out her mummy has never been positively identified, even though Joanne Fletcher may have been close to identification with the Younger Lady in 2009. She did not have all of the tools to identity her, but since then the DNA has shown the Yonger Lady to be the mother of King Tut. But who is the Younger Lady? She has now been identified as Kira, another wife of Akhenaten, a sister of Nefertiti, a daughter of Queen Ty, or the sister and mother of King Tut. Is there no way to identity this poor women conclusively? I hope Nefertiti is actually in her tomb. The problem is access, as the wall of King Tuts tomb cannot be knocked down. I hope a way is found to access it from the other side. I really hope the team make this breakthrough.

Why didn’t the Romans mention that Jesus was supposedly Mithras? Why didn’t the Greeks mention that Jesus was supposedly Apollo? Why didn’t the Persians mention that?

Why? Because at no point in their dealing with First Century Christians did they ever say that. Why? Because Jesus wasn’t Mithras.

You would think the Romans knew their religion and their gods, but interestingly enough there was never a comparison made in Roman times of Jesus to Mithras.

Would you care to show us one Roman document from Caesar Augustus, Nero or Domitian that makes that comparison?

We know very much about all of those men, yet at no time is it recorded in their documents that the Christians were worshiping Mithras, yet there are thousands of temples to Roman gods and Greek gods all over the ancient world. You would think the Roman government might have caught on after a while if Jesus were Mithras considering that Christians were drug before the Roman governors to be interrogated, tortured and commanded to give up their allegiance to Jesus, if Jesus was Mithras, and it was never illegal for people to worship Mithras.

But that nasty superstition of Christianity that began in Judea and then again in Rome kind of stuck around, much to the Romans’ consternation.

Do you really think that Christians would have been thrown to the lions for worshiping a legal god as Mithras?

And you really think that Christians would have been interrogated and tortured by local Roman governors if they were indeed worshiping the legal god Mithras?

Christians were asked to give up their allegiance to Christ and were commanded by law to sacrifice to the Roman gods or be killed. So do you really want to say that the legal god Mithras was the illegal God Jesus if Christians were forced to deny or be killed?

Again I find myself coming to Foerster's defence.

Your comments about cranial deformation fail to address the mysteries that have peaked the attention of Foerster and other free thinkers of his sort. Cranial deformation does not increase cranial capacity, and it certainly does not reduce the number of major skull plates. Mainstream science will not address this, and few scientists familiar with the matter are willing to point it out for fear of placing themselves on the dreaded fringe. Nonetheless, there is a discrepancy between the common explanation and the facts.

Regarding Brian Foerster, I can't say I've read any of his books. However I am more or less familiar with his theories. I will admit he's well versed in speculation, but I've rarely heard him present it as anything but. And when it comes to the fascinating topics he chooses to explore, his speculative explanations often make more sense than the conventional ones--which usually also amount to conjecture.

He's not what I'd call a scholar, but he's intelligent and productively curious--two qualities most scientists these days seem to be in short supply of.

There are many, so which would you like?

Paul’s Christianity was in keeping with Jewish laws against astrology or astrotheology, so worshiping a pagan god...not likely, not hardly because Paul want anti-paganism, if you actually read the Bible you would know that.

Paul never taught astrotheology and neither did the first century Christians, because they were actually persecuted for their refusal to worship Roman Gods.

So, if you would please be so kind and tell us in what century were the Christians first recorded in Roman sources and what their treatment was?

It isn’t that hard, so let me help you… Christians by century…

Hmm, as Christianity has unbroken tradition of not only being called Christians since the first century and the traditions out of the Coptic Christian, Greek Orthodox, Ethiopian Orthodox, Eastern Orthodox and Tamil Orthodox, of the original founder of Christianity has always since the first century the same figure in every church, that the disciples also founded churches and have church canons older than the Roman Rite, then really it is historically and intellectually dishonest to say that Jesus could never have existed when credence was made about Roman laws against Christians in the first century, conceded by the Roman historians of the problem of Christianity and how to deal with it, and the fact that the Qurinius census was found, Pontius Pilate has been discovered, the bone box of Caiaphus is in a library, then you are beating the wind.

And you will have to address at some point why Nero would single out Christians, why Domitian would throw them to the lions and why Caesar Augustus would even deal with Jews about Christians in the first place.

But I suppose that Tacitus, Pliny, Josephus, Nero, Augustus, Domitian, the Sanhedrin, the first century Copts, Eastern, Greek, Ethiopian and Tamil churches with canons that were not Pauline, they must have all been highjacked by Pauline Christans? Even to the point of writing other canons for the other churches? Even writing the Sanhedrin records for the Jews? Even creating laws against themselves, calling themselves a superstition as Tacitus did?

If you can prove there were no first century Christians, then you might have a case. But the tradition has been unbroken since the first century that Jesus is the origin of our faith, a real life breathing, walking, talking, eating man recorded by His own enemies.

Some things to point out. As the images we have are from the Middle Ages and Renaissance were Catholic approved, and the painters did use models, then what we are looking at in that art is nothing more than Italian men.

But at the same time, they did know Jews who lived in the Roman Empire, but the Eastern Orthodox and Byzantine artists also used models.

They cannot prove that the skulls actually belonged to men from Galilee, only that the skulls were found there, so they could have been Syrian or Phoenician or even Roman or Greeks.

I think Eddie Izzard was merely being facetious in his criticism, because we already knew that Jesus was from Israel and that Jews do have ethnic specific features. So why take what Eddie Izzard says when his own comedy routine included him being " a lesbian in a man's body"?

Now, whereas the assumption could be made that he had short hair and a short beard, the fact is Jesus was an Orthodox Jew and would have kept the religious tradition of not shaving the sides of His beard nor cutting the side locks.

We know that Jesus was indeed a kosher-keeping Orthodox Jew who did teach in the synagogue, because He was recorded as attending minyans "as was His custom".

We also know that He wore the prayer shawl (tallit) with the tzitzis (fringes) and that would be in keeping with His Orthodox regalia. He would have also kept His head covered and worn the phylacteries because that was required within the regalia.

What the reconstructionists have done is merely make an image of a fisherman ready to jump on the boat. Jesus was referred to as "rabboni" which people have assumed meant merely a teacher, but "As was His custom" to be called a rabbi meant that He was educated in the Yeshiva, and there were two competing Yeshivas at the time, Shimmai and Hillel, and it was from Hillel that Paul was from. His teacher was Gamaliel, the son of Rebbi Hillel.

Jesus was literate, meaning He was educated in the Orthodox system because He did read Isaiah in the synagogue. We also know that at 12 He was in the temple talking to rabbis. For that to have happened, He most certainly had to have been bar-mitzvahed in the temple, because that was the only way He could have been speaking to the priests in the temple. After bar-mitzvah then it would be required of Him as an Orthodox Jewish man to be in a minyan.

The Pharisees were simply a sect, but it was the authority sect comprised of priests, so Jesus would not simply have been a random person walking around who just inadvertently ran into priests who would have invited Him to their homes.

We know that He was indeed Orthodox and His mother also was Orthodox, because we know she fulfilled the seven days after giving birth according to the law of Moses and that He was circumcised on the eighth day, still according to Moses. And it was in the temple where He was circumcised.

For those who dispute the fact that Mary was indeed Jewish, because they want to say she was gentile, you have to read the Bible accounts in the Gospels that clearly indicate He was kosher-keeping.

While the picture of the reconstruction might look like a man from Galilee, they have not proven the skulls were from actual Galileans only that they were found there. And it does not matter whether or not He was keeping with cultural traditions, as a religious kosher Orthodox Jew, He would have had the side locks and would not have cut His beard. He kept His head covered, wore the prayer shawl and the phylacteries.

While it is a nice reconstruction of three guys, it also does not represent Jesus, but it might represent Peter, James, John or Andrew.

BTW, if Jesus were not Orthodox Jew then He could not have been brought before the ruling council of the Sanhedrin, which was for Jews only and not gentiles because the Sanhedrin could not have charged any gentile under Jewish religious law. And the Sanhedrin kept records of their trials and do mention Jesus as well as James and four other disciples.

The charge was made about His legitimacy, and that's why they record His name as Pantera, yet He would not have been permitted to be circumcised in the temple, bar-mitzvahed in the temple and called a rabbi if He were merely the son of a Roman soldier not married to His mother in those days, so the charge came later.

It's a nice picture of Peter though.

When that much kinetic energy is involved, the physics get rather hairy,it takes a while for all that released heat to get redistributed and due to the elasticity of the ice sheet things are not always as straight forward as they would seem. There are blowouts and layers of shattered rock around here in different locales and some places seem to have just had a gradual upthrust(the layers of rock had time to creep, rather then shatter)I would imagine the initial blast killed a lot of the higher lifeforms in the area. The ejecta, coming back in would cause a lot of damage too,the following climate shift after the event probably caused the final extinction, then it was up to the final wave of Asian people to colonize the North American continent(the way I see it anyway)-Kevin

Why is this a surprise? What about all the digs of the mound builder society where Egyptian, Hindu and other out of place artifacts were discovered along with eight, nine and ten feet tall skeletons? All overseen by the Smithsonian, who now claims none of it ever happened even though we have years worth of news articles describing these different digs, nothing should be a surprise in a world where TPTB have decided to rewrite history to their benefit by faking both artifacts and historians.
