Has anyone ever considered that if a city can not be found maybe it is some where else? In the case of Aztlan, theses creatures could have migrated from a very long way off, possibly North America. Also, they could have existed an extremely long time ago.

The stories I've come across about Azltan indicate that these people may have lived along the coast of the Zuni Sea in the American Southwest some 66 million years ago. There is evidence for civilization this long ago but mainline science refuses to study it.

Agree completely. I hate religion. But let's remember that Jesus came so that we can have a relationship, not a religion. Reconciliation with God. It was meant to be of course.... but who exactly demanded that Jesus be killed? The romans? The people? Nope, the religious leaders. Why? He turned religion on its head and at the same time fulfilled God's law for you and me. There is no holy grail, although I am sure he drank from a cup like anyone else. There is no sacred object that Jesus touched that might give a few people power or peace. What is special is that he died that we might live. And he chose us which makes us special.... he didn't choose us because we are so.

Well they both do appeal. I love a good mystery. The flat surface agrument is glaringly obvious and very valid. One of thos ‘hidden in plain sight’ type of answers. But the story of Jaques D. is equally intriguing but more answers need to be supplied.

After this aritcle I began looking into the cloth. Fascinating articles and explanations abound – some more concrete than others. And certainly 2 camps. But one was particularly interesting in that it found that many euro churches in the middle ages had a ‘shroud’ ritual at their Easter masses. One in which a ‘tomb’ type stage would be set up in the church and a shroud would be set inside. The clergy would go through an Easter play, pretending to be Peter or Mary(s), reciting lines from the gospels, etc. The shroud would be hauled out of the tomb and processed to the front of the church and laid on the alter. It was apparently a common ritual. This could well be one of those easter-play shrouds since its Radio-carbon dating seems to point to the middle ages when these types of plays were in vogue. The history of the cloth itself seems to indicate it had likely been painted on at varous times in the past too, including a loincloth, but that the paint has come off over time. Only the fact that it had been sold to a wealthy family and preserved saved it from disintigrating. Indeed a fascinating history of a controversial cloth. Pretty intense for a simple linen herringbone twill!

I believe that the important thing is that we Americans recognize the birth of the Messiah and celebrate it together as a people and a united nation of Christians. I have heard many theories about the actual month of the birth and who's to say who is accurate. The point is that American Christians recognize and give thanks and joy together. If that makes me simple then so be it.

I watched a documentary about ISIS hosting similar markets. History has a way of always. Repeating itself.. From an international relations and anthropology perspective a lot of people in modern day are fooled into modern day indentured servitude.. I wonder if more advancements in technology will help stop this trend, or if some people just enjoy the suffering of others.

What is really cool about this article and some follow on responses, is that even if we do not know exactly which month Jesus was born in all the guesswork points to solstices and equinoxes, it is also interesting to notice a lot of religion s from this time period really depended on the seasons because they were agriculturaly based societies.

The accuracy of these ancient people is amazing.. I believe the purpose of these places were to assist Neolithic farmers by acting as a clock.. I am sure it eventually became a burial area later.. Neolithic people in Turkey were known for plastering skulls and burying them shallow until ceremonies.

The image has long hair. To the point though, you're clearly not understanding what I'm pointing out because what you propose would actually make the width distortion worse, not better. People are having a hard time with this. One way to demonstrate is to lay a large cloth over your face and mark features with a pen, then lay it flat. See? It will be comically distorted.

Do this: Clasp your hands in front of you, palms facing you, thumbs up. Now, put your thumbs at your ears. Without adjusting the intertwined fingers, flatten your hands. See how far apart your thumbs are?

The Trinity is not something new to the world. There is a trinity for Hindus--- Brahman, Vishnu, Krishna. There is a trinity for Zoaroastrians also. That was most probably the religion in Ur. Therefore probably the religion of Abram. When God appears to mankind, according to Zoroastrians, it is in the form of fire--- just as God appeared to Moses and also to the Hebrews on the trek to Canaan. I believe that Zoroastrian priests were called magi.
