This is true. If you watch the Republican debate through a convex lens, you will see evil entities attached to all of them, like great, floating suckerfishes from hell.

I looked at Ted Cruz through a convex lens and the words "Zodiac Killer" appeared on his forehead. Proof enough for me.

She could have been a Royal of a house of the upper class, one worthy to be picked, to have a kings baby to carry on the ruling line, but she passed away, at her peak, of everything she was then. SO they decorated her funeral so.. I employ also they looted rome and others to sustain their lifestyles, developments and way of life. I suggest more deep sonar searching for other pires and related celtic sites, so buried.
Addition: she could have been a discovered woman, found to have talents and gifts, to allow her a high position which could have began, much more humbly.. A rags to riches if you will, life.

Perhaps it was flooded over Suddenly from a tsunami.? that would wipe out all present on it that day, evening. And those who witnessed felt placed then cursed and did not go back. that might explain the large circular round tile in with ruins all around it, it's altar just broken by the big wave.

Amerikua (the original Mayan name of America) will be the cultural and spiritual center of the future civilization of the Aquarian Age. The Soberain Solar Order of Chichen Itza promotes the new values and spirit of this step in the ascension of the consciousness.

That big round tile in pic looks strikingly resembles the device in star trek episode, "Dagger of the mind'.
Hmmm but was this one electrical ? Hope archeologists could laser map the pieces and reconstruct them, see what that um, device was.. Perhaps a cool looking alter..

Let it remain untouched, as mans violent past, Still today sustains. It's inscriptions are largely ignored, greed, war and ignorance continue, man is always quick to judge and slow to change. But this monument is a true test If his created Stone, will outlast him; or will man outgrow his, inner most demons ?
I sincerely hope terrorists of any kind, don't get to it and raise it :(
Remaining untouched, it seems it has, everlasting luck ! So far, And it has made it into Ancientness :)
If only it's builders could see it now...

Can't get round the distortion problem with a real human face you say?

That's what Itoo thought for the best part of 4 years, Allen, tending to believe Luigi Garlaschelli when he said a shallow bas relief would have needed to be used for the face. But then I got to wondering if it might be possible to imprint off a human face as if it were a bas relief, i.e. capturing the highest relief only.

Some recent experimentation has given some promising answers. One selects an imprinting medium to smear over one's face that is then 'tidied up' so to speak, i.e. wiping it off all the places you DONT want imprinted, like the sides of the face. You then press your coated face into taut outstretched linen, so as to capture the facial equivalent of a shallow footprint in the sand, a pseudo bas relief so to speak. Hey presto you have your distortion-free imprint, it not mattering whether the linen wrapped around the side of your face, provided there was no medium there to imprint.

Where there's a will, to say nothing of big reward for a successsful medieval-era outcome, there's a way.

See this, my latest posting, for practical details, using oil/dry white flour imprinting onto wet linen, followed by oven-roasting to model the TS.

Even the way Islam prays is against the will of God and does absolutely nothing for them except prop up their own ego.

Acts 7:47 “But Solomon built Him a house.
Acts 7:48 “However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says:
Acts 7:49 ‘Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. What house will you build for Me? says the LORD, Or what is the place of My rest?
Acts 7:50 Has My hand not made all these things?’
Acts 7:51 “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.
Acts 7:52 “Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of whom you now have become the betrayers and murderers,

Matt 6:5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
Matt 6:6 “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

And then how do you pray:
John 4:20 “Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”
John 4:21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.
John 4:22 “You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
John 4:23 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
John 4:24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
John 4:25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”
John 4:26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”

Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

1Cor 14:15 What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding.

OK, Stuart. Here's a preliminary reply to your question, i.e. “Colin, why would anyone want to ‘fake’ or ‘paint’ a shroud produced during the middle ages?”

It’s a valid question to ask, Stuart, given that it’s unique as far as we’re aware, aka a “one-off”. Folk elsewhere have quite rightly asked somewhat pointedly how the know-how could have been kept a total secret such that nothing derivative has appeared since. (I’m purposely ignoring the irksome proposals from a certain tour guide historian that it’s just a painted linen from which all the original paint – of unspecified chemical nature – has conveniently dropped off, making the hypothesis conveniently unfalsifiable while giving a temporary boost to the circulation figures of a certain 'pop history' magazine found on newsagent shelves).

Let’s recast your question in a modern context, and maybe the answer to your question becomes self evident.

Imagine you read this headline in a tabloid newspaper:

Suntan lotion imprint of ageing Elvis Presley’s face found on Miami hotel bed linen. Scientists express surprise at its near-photographic quality!

Below which you read the following: "Yes, it looks as if those reports of Elvis’s death WERE greatly exaggerated. DNA tests say it’s really HIS saliva on the pillow! Souvenir hunters have descended in their hundreds, paying hotel staff $$$ for their cell phones despite blurry images...

Would you be surprised, Stuart, to learn weeks or months later that it had all been a hoax, but that a lot of money had in the meantime changed hands before that became apparent?

Why? Because there are still millions of ageing fans out there who desperately want to believe Elvis is still alive, that he had merely “left the building” to go and have a quiet life out of the public eye.

OK,so it's a somewhat downmarket answer your question. But might not the same be said for those Lirey public expositions, circa 1355, accompanied by the minting of the Lirey badge, which used actors among hordes of pilgrims to pretend to be cured of their ailments, at least according to the later testimony of that Bishop Pierre d'Arcis in his fiery memorandum sent to the Avignon Pope?

Wounds merely inferred by the blood--good point.

No one has gotten by the distortion problem so the fake/not-fake issue is settled.
(Spoiler Alert: It's a fake.) It is interesting to try to investigate the origin and history though.
