This dead horse theory simply needs to go away. In 2010, a report titled "The Story of the Sphinx" was done by Dr Zahi Hawass who stated: "Perhaps the most important result of the groundwater project was that it enabled us to put to rest speculation about mysterious underground tunnels and chambers carved below the Sphinx by 'ancient civilizations'. For years, I have debated people like John Anthony West, Robert Bauval, and Graham Hancock, who say that survivors of a lost civilization 10,000 years ago left secrets buried beneath the Sphinx. These people also claim that the erosion of the Sphinx was caused by water, and that this necessarily means that it dates back to long before the Old Kingdom. None of their theories has any basis in fact, but their supporters have insisted that we should drill holes to try and find these hidden chambers. I have always refused to permit such a project in the past, because there was no scientific basis for it. Because such drilling was a necessary part of our work to protect the Sphinx from groundwater, however, we did finally drill in the vicinity of the statue, and we found that there were no hidden passages or chambers there."

It’s simply an “old wive’s tale” with no basis what so ever.

Well 'unknown', here is the answer. In short: centuries before the beginning of our calendar - which calendar was created in midieval times (AD) in respect to the supposed 'date' of Jesus birth - Jewish lands were occupied by foreign powers: first Egyptians and then from the 9th or 8th century BCE the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Macedonians and finally Romans. Of course the Jews were not happy with that. So the Jews thought: the only 'thing' that could free them from these powers was a messiah (who was already spoken of in the Torah). There were Jewish messianic - or in Greek 'christian' - sects who were in contact by means of visions to a 'phantom' named Isaiah and Joshua/Jehosjoea that lived in ‘outer space’ or 'higher realms', long before the beginning of our calendar. The idea was that this messiah would remove the Romans from the Jewish territory. Then - in Roman times - (St.) Paul came; he was a Jew from Anatolia with Roman citizenship which was very important to him; he collaborated with the Romans. He first was a hunter or traitor of Jewish rebels - often Messianic or 'Christian' Jews - who kept on resisting the Roman occupation and who had their bases or meeting points a.o. in the Jewish temples/synagogues. Then at some point Paul took a different approach to the jewish rebels. He claimed he had a vision of Jesus as so many others had had. But Paul claimed that Jesus had told him to start a sect himself where besides jews, gentiles could take part in as well. And he changed the the goal of the messiah from winning back actual territory to winning a spiritual ‘empire’. By doing that he more or less pacified the Jewish messianic teachings. And lo and behold: Paul's sect very fast became the most popular. As all the other leaders of the messianic sects Paul ‘knew’ Jesus only from visions - at least that’s what Paul told. Some of the other Jewish sects and apostles of these sects, joined Paul’s movement. Then in the year 69 of our calendar Paul died. A year later the Romans who by then were totally fed up with the jewish resistance, destroyed Jerusalem and the big Jewish temple there and started expelling the Jews from Jerusalem. And only after that the gospel of Marc was written; the oldest gospel of all the known gospels. And where for the first time a person named Jesus that had actually lived on earth, is mentioned. So again: AFTER the year 70 of our calendar. Before that there never was one word written about a Jesus actually living on earth. (And some scholars even say, the gospel of Marc was probably only intended as an allegorical text, not even as a historical account of something actually happening on earth.) And why did the writer of Marc put Jesus 'on earth’? He most probably did that to stand stronger than other 'Christian' sects that only knew Jesus by visions; the writer of the gospel of Marc could now claim that Jesus had tought his lessons to the Paulinian sect, face to face. And Marc did it to fix or record the teachings of Paul to have one, consistent teaching of Jesus for all the Pauline Jews that were now expelled from Jerusalem and the Jewish lands and were scattered over the Roman Empire. That is the true origin of Jesus 'Christ' walking the earth. It’s a totally fabricated story along the lines of Jewish and other popular religions of those days.
There is NO evidence, not one single word, that there ever was a Jesus as described in the gospels, that actually lived on earth. And that first gospel that puts Jesus on earth has historical errors in it, errors about Jewish life and geographical errors. And all other gospels were written AFTER the gospel of Marc, inspired by the gospel of Marc.
And finally, centuries later in 325 AD when the Christian faith got it’s final shape at the First Council of Nicaea under the leadership of Roman Emperor Constantine 1, this Christian faith was made in accordance with the interests of the Roman Empire. Or maybe even to serve the Empire (read: the Roman emperor, the senators and other members of the Roman aristocracy).
    (Excuse my imperfect English.)

they didnt come from anywhere. Its a mystical story.

The real question is what or who is the secret religious sect with ties that go back forever that created the mystical stories and or their sources.

    “The dose makes the poison.”

This complete load of crap is an ideological cornerstone of the modern medical and food industries, and it's part of the reason both are killing so many people.  Some substances are innately poisonous (toxic), while others are only harmful when taken in an amount which overwhelms the body.  Promoting the idea that there is no difference has made a few people a lot of money, and many more sick.

Like Sundararaju Reddi :-) I´m interested in the Solar positions and the 4 cardinal seasonal directions.
Besides this, the Earth celestial pole area is an important measurement to mark on every ritual site.
I´m not so sure about the Cygnus Deneb connection though. I agree that the MIlky Way of course plays a huge role in the ancient myths, simply because it is closely connected to the numerous global Stories of Creation.

The formation in the Milky Way takes mostly place in its center “from where all creation in the Milky Way derives and to where it will return” in the circuit of creation.

If so, the direction towards the Milky Way center is ritually and mythologically VERY important indeed. How did our ancestors find this direction?

Noone can no for sure, but if one draw a line from Sirius in Canis Major, over the north celestial pole area and further on the Vega in Lyra, and the prolong this line, one has the  direction to the milky way center which is positioned below the northern hemisphere. Again Sirius, and ancestrial tellings, comes mythologically into play here.

From the actual Solar System location, the direction to the Milky Way is positioned in the star constellation of Sagittarius. I rather would think this direction is more important than the direction to Deneb in Cygnus, since the creation derives from the Sagittaius center and it also returns to the Milky Way center as a circuit of life where “holes in generally” plays the overall and significant role in the circuit of birth and death.

My son, who is now 31, has some strange connections, co-incidences or whatever you want to call them with my father's best friend. He had died many years before my son was born and my son knew nothing about him, he didn't even know he existed. When my son was 17 he passed his driving test and wanted to buy a car. Not just any car, it had to be a Vauxhall. Why? I don't know, he had never driven one, no family members owned one nor any of his friends but that's the only make he would buy. He then joined the RAF as an engineer. No-one in the family had served with them or any of his friends and aquaintances. A few years after that he said he was thinking of getting a gold tooth. No particular reason and again no connection with anyone who had one.

After the gold tooth statement I started to think there was maybe something more to this. My father's friend, who I knew very well and was like family to me was an engineer with the RAF during WW2. The only make of car he ever owned was a Vauxhall which he changed every 2 years and he had a gold tooth.

Of course I can't say that my son is the re-incarnation of this man but when you have 3 definitive links to a deceased person, and these links are totally unconnected with each other, it does make me wonder.

I don't think that's true. The relevance of my first comment was that the Netherlands by inheritance under Charles V had become part of the Spanish 'Empire'. And the inquisition was active in the Netherlands as well especially against the upcoming protestantism which was quite popular in Northern Europe. In a period of some 40 years over 1300 people were killed by beheading, drowning, burrying some of them alive or by burning them at the stake. Because of that the Dutch revolted and in the end The Netherlands declared themselves independent in 1581 and fought an eighty year religious and independence war with Spain (1568 -1648).

I think a lot of women became nuns and men became monks not because they were devout but because it provided food and a roof in very hard times. If you weren't particularly religious you'd be less inclined to see the pleasures of the flesh as quite so sinful, especially when other pleasures were so few.

Not being an archaeologist by trade anything I said can only be my personal opinion. I visited couple of Merovingian necropolis located with a stone throw from where I live monumentally in France and one thing I've noticed was the absence of Christian symbols. Most of the one found were added later. Although few Black Madonnas were found inside the graves which could very well representation of Isis (Iset or Aset in Egyptian). The Goddess religion was prevalent in the times of the Merovingian but to avoid the fate accorded to heretics many Merovingian were hiding their beliefs. Although it is surprising to find two bodies in one grave, nothing is further from the truth to call one of them Christian. After all Chilperic II place a statue of Isis in one of the Parisian church, which was destroy by an archbishop in the XVII century.

While the stories are similar, I do not think the situation they are talking about or trying to convey is the same. I know this will sound confusing, but please bear with me. The specific narrative of the flood in this account is the same granted. BUT if you read the details and events both before and after this story of destruction, you will find that it doesn't fit into the world chronology. Where it does fit is with the stories of an earlier destruction and parallels time wise with the destruction of the dark/half dark world (before) and the formation of the new world and the dawning of the Golden Age. It is my feeling that this storyline was put on top of another story which has been lost in Hindu Cosmology.

These stones look more like mill stones. Long time ago I have seen 2 oxen tied to a yoke which in turn would be tethered to a mill stone in a round stone walled groove. The oxen would be walking around in a circle with the round stone being pulled along in the stone walled groove where lime stone mortar would be made into a fine paste and used in construction. In another case similar method was used to extract oil from oil seeds. Over a period of time I believe the stone would wear down to the present look it has got. The oxen were blind folded to avoid them getting dizzy while walking around in a circle continuously !!! I think these stones did similar work in antiquity. Also look at the location where they were found, The first picture with the crane shows an old mined surface, and the second picture says coal mine area. I think the gentlemen researchers should be looking for where the end product was used to understand why these stones have the almost perfect round shape. Its just my opinion. Every one is welcome to comment on it.
