Silver has a long tradition in the households of the elite to ward against bacteria and infection, hence the usage of silverware---especially cups for drinking--babies were fed with silver spoons and given silver spoons to suck on much like a pacifier. Copper is also a potent anti-germinal with a long history in medicine. These ancient practices are not merely forgotten--they are banned by a pharmaceutical industry which would rather use toxic drugs that have an enormous profit and a huge plethora of side effects. Since these practices are not being taught and banished from history it is up to adventurous healers and alternative practitioners to rediscover them and utilize them. Iodine has a very well documented history of curing many many diseases as well as turpentine, castor oil and many potent herbs like thyme, sage and rosemary. Antibiotics are becoming almost useless so these old timey methods may reappear sooner than later --and people who practice alternative medicine have been using them successfully for decades. Mercury is certainly not something worth re-examining, of course.

    Comment Author: velma P. Watson

My White Ancestor, Malcomb McCory's family was taken from Wales and sold into slavery on the Barbary Coast of North Africa. He was purchased by a Portuguese Captain and brought to New Orleans to be sold as an Octoroon. He was able to prove he was Welch and was given his freedom. From that point on he made his descendants pledge to never sell their slaves, as he became a slave owner of Africans himself. Now, what the White Slaves of the Barbary Coast stories fail to tell is this. African Blacks were on the thrones of North Africa at the time slavery became a viable business. The Kings of these North African Countries, took the Whites and had children with them to take the darkness from the skin of their descendants to keep them from being stolen and sold into slavery. No, the White Slaves of the Barbary Coast were never treated like the African Slaves of the land of America, the land of the Free and the Brave. Malcomb's grandson was born in MS, move to Louisiana, got a 10,000 acre land grant from Spain and allowed my Black Ancestor, John Jackson, an African and Cherokee young man, and the ancestor of Congress Woman, Barbara Jordan, Leon Scott to create a wild mustang camp on the land, even before it was given to him by Spain, John Karnes, Sr. had these men on the land running wild horses to Galveston to be shipped to New Orleans to be sold. From 1818 to 1850 Leon Scott and John Jackson ran this camp, with other slaves of Karnes. He told my great grandmother, Lou Bordeaux, who he had a daughter by, when she was fourteen, that Malcomb, his grandfather had made his family promise to never sell their slaves away from each other. Because of this I have been able to look on the 1870 Census and find all my ancestors people who were on the Laurel Hill Plantation, when Emancipation finally came. So White Slavery on the Barbary Coast of North Africa, can never be equaled to Black Slavery in America.

I've heard the Aztec civilization referred to as the third Reich of central America before... but the Spanish killed more people than Hitler did for just as corrupt a reason. The Spanish also believed that they literally ate the flesh of their god every Sunday too...

Silver solution is a VERY potent antibiotic- which you will not become immune to, it is rarely used today, but will be when we finally have no antibiotics. Look it up and get some silver tablets for your sore throats but don't use continuously since you can get a 'silver-blue' tint in your skin from too much.

Workers today are not physically tortured, women's noses not cut off, in that scale today, and civilized countries make those things illegal....you know, like not allowing the cutting off of heads. They actually used captives of war as slave labor. You don't know history, and make PC assertions in ignorance. Common people worked their own land or made things to sell at market. God didn't want kings. He was to be King, and rulers to rule by His will. But people chose kings, and as politicians today, riches and power went to their head....as God knew it would. They taxed the people, immigrants paid tribute to show their allegiance to stay in the land.

You are missing the point - the new article and construction was done by someone who is NOT an "archaeologist-trying-to-be-an-architect" but by a "freelance landscape consultant/garden designer, with degrees in Landscape Design and Horticulture" - therefore she comes at the issue with an entirely different perspective - and we all know that the problem with every field is that they cannot see 'the wood for the trees' !! EVERY expert has professional pride in his own field and generally resents anyone of another profession daring to conceive a radical new idea - this designer saw something that the archaeologists still were not seeing - she looked at the stones and saw the inner structure the other guy was not considering - his drawings only include the concept of the outer-outer ring of stones having roofing. I love her idea and see this as a new way to consider the site's use. Nothing wrong with this at all - what makes me laugh is the reaction of the 'experts' - so predictable - "no WE are the experts - mind your own business - we know what the truth is" - NO you are being proved wrong on every front - Archaeology is being determined by the free thinkers who come at the subject with an open mind ! The single biggest problem for Archaeology is the long-standing notion of ancient humans being sub-human dolts - we are seeing this demolished on every front and out history goes way further back than the professional crowd ever gave thought to - yippee !!!!

The fact that the sword of sampson was found at oak island is primarily a clue.
Sampson, an old testament character, was a nazorean. But there was no city called Nazareth at his time.
    So, trying to be clear....
There are currently over 34,000 separate Christian groups that have been identified throughout the world. Most are independent churches.

At the time of Jesus, there were three distinct Essenian groups that played important roles in his life, and their religious practices and spiritual theology mirror in his teachings. Some of these peoples had their strength in that they were called nazorean/esseane.
    They were:

The Theraputae of Egypt; where the infant Christ and his family fled during Herods rein. The Essenes of Qumran (Dead Sea Scrolls), the strict, celibate monastery of which John the Baptist was a part. The Nazarenes of Mount Carmel, the cooperative family village where Jesus lived and studied.

Josephus and other classic writers tell us of the Essenes and their intense appreciation for the inspired Law of God and that they "strove to be like the angels of heaven." They also opposed slavery, the sacrificing of animals and the eating of flesh. In other words, they were vegan.

Their highest aim was to become fit temples of the Holy Ghost (1 Cor 6:19), to be healers and perform cures, especially spiritual cures, and to be spiritually qualified as forerunners of the Messiah, the latter being the primary spiritual focus of the Nazarenes of Mount Carmel. But only one man was chosen to be called, "the way". He and sampson both were called nazorean. They wore long hair.
Sampson's strength was not in his hair, but his strength failed him when he was seduced by a pagan (Delilah).

Nazareth is not mentioned in the Old Testament, the Talmud (the Jewish law code), nor in the Apocrypha and it does not appear in any early rabbinic literature.

Nazareth was not included in the list of settlements of the tribes of Zebulon (Joshua 19:10-16) which mentions twelve towns and six villages, and Nazareth is not included among the 45 cities of Galilee that were mentioned by Josephus (37AD-100AD), a widely traveled historian who never missed anything and who voluminously describes the region. And josephus wrote history between the old and new testaments.
The name is also missing from the 63 towns of Galilee mentioned in the Talmud.

The first reference to Nazareth is in the New Testament where it can be found 29 different times. However, we do know that sampson was a nazarine. And Sampson was in the old testament, not the new, so his hair was of another nature (of strength) other than a location. there is still cause for speculation as to whether or not the city existed at the time of Jesus. But It is mentioned only in the Gospels and Acts. These books do refer to Nazareth, but they did not originate at this time, they are later writings. The earlier writings of the NT (Paul etc) mention Jesus 221 times - but never mention Nazareth. And Paul wrote 14 of the 27 books of the new testament. If it were a city....he would have mentioned it.

    The Essenes were The Nazarenes

At the time of Jesus, there were three major Jewish Sects. The Pharisees, the Sadducees, and the Essenes.

The sword is obviously sampton. He was a nazoreanian. One of the demands of being a nazoreanian was:
Refrain from cutting the hair on one's head; but to allow the locks of the head's hair to grow.

The sword is not so much an ancient relic as it a statement of the demands of the essenes, a third sect in Israel, back 2016 years ago.
It was left there to show that an Essene, or a relative of one, was there. By the way, one of the apostles had something to do with hair. Chris called him by a name...or addressed him as something meaning "hair". Will need to go to feet of notes to find it though. So you may hear from me later.
