"Realisation of the self should not be confused with the intellectual understanding of the Divine Theme. Exceptional exercise of the intellect makes one a philosopher, a poet, a scientist or an artist. But Self-realisation is undeniably the special privilege of those who are mad after God." Meher Baba

Couldn't have said it better myself. Spirituality isn't taught in books, "it is the true art of living".

Wrong time period and wrong event. This event (Minoan eruption) was likely what caused the famine in the time of Joseph. The salt water flooding much of the Nile Delta and destroying crops.

Is there any link to a source on the Glenn Seaborg story? I've tried to find a link to the astonishing claim that he believed the reactor to be artificial, but the only sources I find are of recent coinage. I can't find one source that backs up this claim from the period.

The existence of natural reactions was predicted in the 1950s:

Surely this is not that amazing? Seems to show things important to native americans + symbols and the ancient egyptians (older or contemporary to the native americans) and other cultures managed this sort of detail and texture all the time? Egyptians and other cultures used bow drills (and some suggest water powered too) so even the holes could be original?

Correct. They're natural believe it or not. Volcanic "bombs" (lumps of molten lava) will form a disc when hurtling through the air if enough rotation is applied. Many are rich in metallic compounds, molybdenum, copper, tungsten. Never consult a Ufologist or Archeologist on Geology, they're too excitable.

I just dislike injustice, violence and curtailment of freedom. Maybe the Vikings' violent behavior was modified, but look what the "Christians" did later in Africa and the New World. Their own behavior needed modifying.

Why detest it? Becoming Christian moderated Viking behavior, which at the time wasn't kind toward societies Vikings interacted with. This was a contest of equals and brutality was mutual. Also, it was a long time ago. Holding historical grudges for events that have no impact on your life doesn't help anyone.

Humans have always expanded or migrated and the clash of cultures and societies is older than humanity, it isn't something unique to Europeans or Christians.

Same goes for the new world.

Giants certainly did roam the earth in pre-flood times. Big animals. Seems megaflora/forna such as the mammoth and sabre tooth tiger were wiped out at about the time of the 'flood' and science suggests this was caused by a comet strike around 10,500 BC. Our ancestors (e.g. the Clovis people in Americas seemed to have been in the thick of it) were certainly around at this time and would have survived and remembered.

There is a lot of evidence for this.

Giant people? Not so much, and nothing reliable or accepted.

I completely agree with you about pre-ice age civilisations.

Global flood stories seem to be linked to the potential (and there is strong evidence emerging that it did happen) Younger Dray Comet impact in around 10,500 BC. This seems to have centred on North America as the native American myths seem to have descriptions of the comet as well as resulting floods + science seems to be finding it was centred on the ice caps there at the time. It seems to have resulted in extinction events of large American mammals and probably drove any human cultures it did not wipe out south. It would undoubtedly have had a global impact.

The issue with the Bible and other documents is that they are not contemporary to the events they describe, event he stories of Jesus were written down a few hundred years after his death and so much was voted in or out by the Romans and their 'conference'. In the case of genesis etc we have maybe a few thousand years of verbal tradition warping the story, one can even argue that Jews educated in Sumer took the story and made it their own. There was also trade with Africa and India, maybe of stories as well as goods?

The only evidence we have in America for cultures at this time is 'Clovis' and they were using stone tools etc. Thats not to say there were not other advanced cultures globally - and by advanced I mean something between the mainstream proposed 'hunter gatherer' and e.g. much later Greek/Egyptian/Sumerian etc cultures as opposed to 'modern' day equivalent.

This might mean 'star worship' is older than even Gobekli Tepe, with that monument set up by a culture who survived the flood and started over - the fact the older parts are better than the younger might support this, although the very oldest parts have not been dug yet. Neither has an almost identical 'tepe' elsewhere.

It also might mean other large stone monuments either incorporate or sit on much older sites - e.g. the Sphinx and parts of temples may pre-date known Egyptian dynasties, although this lacks carbon dating etc to confirm but erosion suggests it is possible.

It also might mean older writing systems, pottery production, fabric production, medicines etc etc.

The only way to be sure is for Archaeology to find it and date it reliably (it also needs to be more open minded to the possibility) as relying on 'I believe' or 'I think' could be used to argue the existence of Santa Claus...

It is possible that all this evidence is buried under huge depth of silt though!

As for human civilisation in some advanced form going back millions of years... 'I believe' alone does not cut it. DNA says not. Fossil records say not. The archaeological record says not. The majority of Ooparts presented have been explained or were not presented with an original context to date them reliably.

Extra-ordinary claims require extraordinary evidence (wasn't that Carl Sagan or someone?) ought to be the case, and there appears to be none for anything past a few 10's of thousands of years in terms of us being much more than hunter gatherers.

While I agree about the previous comment on textiles and ceramics, it appears to be scientifically confirmed that Neanderthal etc were different species and there were in fact several species of human at one time co-existing, some of whom a later dominant species was breeding with. 'Modern' man seems to therefore be made up of DNA dominated by one species but with varying mixes (or not) of others depending on where in the world you look - e.g. Africa seems to have several distinct groups who lack Neanderthal DNA while on other continents the mix varies but all (?) seem to have common African descent + with up to something like 6% Neanderthal DNA and (who knows until science finds out) maybe others too?

A world with multiple Homo groups co-existing, some advancing in faster but different ways to us and later falling back, does not seem far fetched as there are after all multiple types of 'ape' etc around today as there are other species too. At some point we mixed. At some point we or something else drove them to 'extinction' - other than the part of them we absorbed to make up our current DNA?

I wish people would stop using Atlantis as if it were a real place. Plato asked his friends to make a story up for the next days meeting about an ancient culture that had all the traits of an ideal society they had been discussing that day, and this is clear in the dialogue? This is presented the next day as a story one of them heard from a grandparent or other relative, who heard it in Egypt, and who just happened to recall huge amounts of detail overnight.

“As the Sumerian story says Enki and Ninki created Us (humans) at the request of Anu “

There is no such thing as common human heritage. Different people have different heritage. In plane words a particular human breed was ether created from scratch or gods inerbread with vanilla to start a new sort of species. Souls for different human species bodies also come from different places-lokas and after death go back to where they come from. A bit of genetics from father god is enough to mark up his property on earth and have souls from his world to incarnate into his bodies to get that life lesson. In multiethnic bodies darkest god-father wins that body, soul will come from his world there.

Even in Bible, Christ told to pray to your heavenly father without mentioning names, that is because your father might be different from what you think and if you go by name you prayer might go  the wrong deiety. Them wizards knew at the old times that people have different origins unlike modern scientists now.
