I am currently studying Archeo-paleontology and the Stone Age. I am a Biblical History/Archeology scolar who's recently been bitten by the Super Henge bug. My favorite subjects are pre-historic stone monuments ( I used to write for StonePages),evoluntionary social development and Neanderthals ( I’m 4% Neanderthal!). Gobekli Tepe, Super Henge, Stone Henge and everything monolithic is my passion. Big fan of Mike Parker Pearson. I speak French and Italian and welcome any comments or study leads. Take care everyone!

To be honest, these kind of works from early Europe fall so short compared to for instance Japan's ancient treasures.

Wasn't the death mask created using electrolysis? I thought that's what the Baghdad Battery was all about.

History/ancient history is my favorite subject and decided to spend some time searching for books on Ancient Astronauts. I found a scanned pdf document a few years ago...from 1975 which gave a list of must read books on the subject... the collector in me only seeks out first editions and printings of all these books that I've displayed online for while now.

Intelligent extraterrestrial beings have visited Earth and made contact with humans in antiquity and prehistory. Proponents suggest that this contact influenced the development of human cultures, technologies, and religions. A common claim is that deities from most, if not all, religions are actually extraterrestrial in nature, and that such visitors' advanced technologies were wrongly understood by primitive humans as evidence of divine status.

What clinched it for me was the discovery of the Sumerian cuneiform tablets. Z. Sitchin wrote about them in his various books but the more I dug, the more I found.

"Intelligent Life In The Universe" (1966) A collaboration between famous American Carl Sagan and world/famous Russian Astronomer, I.S. Shklovskii explaining the origins and life in the universe.

In it is this remarkably frank passage by Dr. Sagan, stating that he had come upon a legend that seemed to be a “genuine contact” with ETs. He adds, “It is of special interest because it relates to the origin of Sumerian civilization.” Carl Sagan gives a much more rational and believable answer when he goes on to say, “Sumer was an early – perhaps the first – civilization in the contemporary sense on the planet Earth. . . . Taken at face value the legend suggests that contact occurred between human beings and a non-human civilization of immense powers.”

What else can a nonhuman civilization mean than a non-earthly one that exists on another world in space? Dr. Sagan even goes on to give the Sumerian description of the ETs and the craft they came in, also the many “wonders” they possessed, then admits that this may not be myth but an actual historical event.

Sagan then cites one of those myths. “Sumerian civilization is depicted by the descendants of the Sumerians themselves to be of non-human origin. A succession of strange creatures appears. . . . Their only apparent purpose is to instruct mankind.”

Ok. I should have read further (and long ago) to know who we are referring to in the Flood Legends. Atrahasis and Utnapishtim (also named Ziusudra or Zin-Suddu depending on whether you read Sumerian or Akkadian tablets) are listed as kings of Shurrupak who received instruction from the god Enki to build a boat. Like Noah in the later epic, the two are different versions of the same character. The difference being that there is written evidence in the King Lists of Sumer and the Epics recorded on Sumerian and Akkadian tablets and some later Babylonian tablets - the emphasis here is on 'river floods' which the Tigris was apt to do periodically. I dont believe there was any such written record in the form of tablets for the 'Noah' epic which of course involved lots and lots of rain. Now I cant stop reading about that!

maybe just maybe It is not years but days..... imaging this if you will ,
sun is up = day of the gods of heaven
sun is down ( night ) = day of the god of underworld
this would mean that our 24 hours was 2 day for them .
now divide 43200 by 365 = 118 years more or less
divide again by 2 ( days and night )
118 / 2 = 59 years which was a very long period of time back then.
    maybe just maybe

I believe the Sumerian 'Noah' in the Epic of Gilgamesh was named Utnapishtm, not Atrahasis (never heard this name so I shall look it up of course). Before this I assume, and certainly ever since, the world population (of Homo Sapiens anyway) has only increased. This, even against the worst wars of genocide (culling efforts), unspeakable natural disasters (great misfortune), countless plagues of dread disease (poor health policies and human ignorance). It has hardly made a dent with the very few exceptions in the case of plagues in European history.

If they have been looking to reduce us humans to a manageable few and havent knocked us down yet... them aliens dont stand a chance!

Using precession and astrology to date historical sites is almost always inaccurate. It flies in the face of the mountains of evidence that we already have about such sites as the pyramids and the sphinx. At best it is fanciful, at worse it is fraudulent. These people are just out to make a name for themselves and sadly people that believe this crap help them with their fantasies. None of this is true.

WOW! Most comments are on target but, out of context.

Most all atrocities made in the name of any Religion has been done to keep those in power...in POWER! Nothing more.

As for the "ROMAN Catholic Church"...as the name implies, the Roman Empire is, alive and well...'nuff said.

I believe, as I can many of you do also, in the "Teachings of Jesus Christ" as they stand on their own, with or without, Scripture to back Him up.

Now, with that said, there are some similarties 'tween the Norse legends ( which I now believe have more truth to them than anything else) and Scritpture, which is that of Flat Earth.

Scripture says that the Earth is below and the Firmament is above....right! Not much different than that as mentioned above...huh?

I have come to accept that our "modern-day" scientiest, religious leaders, governments, and "Institutes of Higher Learning" are nothing more than "the Pharisees' of Yesterday!"

    Very interesting article indeed!
The questions I have are why Bulgaria has never been mentioned in the article, but Romania and Croatia instead? Coincident? Doubtfully!
The oldest ceramic plates with the writings, showed on the pictures, are found in the village of Gradeshnitsa, in Bulgaria - nearby the town of Vratsa. Also the village of Karanovo, nearby the town of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria! The author didn't know that? I doubt it! Looks like he haven't read for the Scriptura Mundi project either. It comes to say, that the population on this land, nowadays Bulgaria, to spawn 4 of the world writing systems - reference Scriptura Mundi project.
Most likely he didn't also know, that the oldest hand crafted gold treasure in the world is found nearby town of Varna.
    What a shame!!!
Before writing it is a very good idea to read a lot before that!!!

Could it be that Nefertiti did what some at the time considered to be a great wrong or brought shame to the dynasty? Was this why her name was erased and her treasure given to someone else?
