No, the Nazareth area has been settled for at least 9,000 years according to the archaeological record. During Jesus’ life it likely had a population of between 400 and 500 people, hardly worthy of much surviving historical note other that of the contemporary historical records of Luke and Matthew. As far as the similarly sounding sect of Nazarenes, the brilliant translators didn’t confuse the two at all – John the Baptizer might well have been a member of the sect but Jesus certainly wasn’t.

I would have to agree with Osirus concerning the issue of Palestine. It has been a political machination which has hurt far too many people. Palestinians are Hebrews and Arabs are a Semitic people. The Khazars were converts and are no relation to the original Jews of the Bible. As for the Zionists agenda, it speaks for itself, and the reality is not connected to any spiritual link to the Bible.I am sorry if this offends those that want to believe the false history that has been accepted as truth.Hopefully, through sites like this, we can discuss issues of great concern and importance based on facts, not propaganda. I met a man just tonight at the health club and we started a conversation.I am the inquisitive type and I am like a sponge looking to soak up the water of Truth. He said he was a Hebrew, and he is Palestinian. I, of course, wanted to hear as much of his thoughts as he was willing to share. He just confirmed that my research was correct, and he was quite peaceful in his outlook considering the reality of the situation. We must be able to seek the truth, and be willing to discuss this issue since much is at stake.why waste human, financial and other resources on wars not based on the facts. We need to be wise and to stop letting those who have ulterior motives to create needless conflict. I have attempted to be as polite as possible while sharing not only what I have learned, but what those who have been there are willing to say. The one piece of information I have no citation for is the name Osirus mentioned for Netanyahu. If you read this please share the source to assist me in my research. I really like to have my citations mentally available for my discussions and debates.

Actually there was a historical Kingdom of Israel, the Northern Kingdom, which either split from a united kingdom (2 Chronicles 15) or developed separately as some scholars now think. It existed from roughly 930 BCE until 720 BCE, when it was conquered by the Neo-Assyrian Empire and most of its population relocated and assimilated. The so-called “ten lost tribes” came from that Israel.

Ironically, modern day “Israel” is situated where the other nation, the Kingdom of Judah, was located.  Judah was mostly exterminated in 70 CE by the Romans but a few Jews apparently survived including those who were living abroad. But yes, the “Jews” occupying Palestine today are descendants of Caucasian Khazarian converts and have no historical ties to the Levant. Simply, they are warmongering counterfeits.

In all fairness to the  ‘6 million’ (there’s that magical number again) jews in the land formerly known as Palestine. The majority of them are transplants from north/northeastern Europe. They are Ashkenazi/Khazar jews with no historical or genetic linkage to the original middle eastern Hebrews. Their ancestors converted in the 7th and 8th century. It is only a ‘belief’ that connects them. Incidently Netanyahu’s real name is Miliekovsky. He’s of Lithuanian descent (slavic) not semitic.  Prior to 1947 there was no “israel” it was known as Judea or Palestine. In fact, historically there never was a ‘place’ called Israel. Only and ever a tribe. Kind of like the Native Americans stealing a state and calling it Cheerokee or Hopi and claiming the Great Spirit in their ancient legends told them it is theirs..

Gee! I think you may have gotten ahead of the point! It is nice to inform us about Alpha males and then combine words from the movie Wyatt Earp. I am certain your not my huckleberry. I enjoy and appreciate hearing opinions, and we all have one. I just do not see a cogent point, but a rather a mixture of alpha chest thumping along with a Val Kilmer rendition from a movie. As far as I can tell, many things said were not meant to be taken literally. Perhaps, Jesus meant no way unto the father but through me, as in, my Way! Could it be he meant by his teachings and example.?Could his movement be called The Way? I believe Christ means anointed one, and I am not convinced we have enough information to be certain. If he was the anointed one, I never read where he called his teaching Christianity. Perhaps, the words were changed to let humans off the hook for personal responsibility. To empower certain individuals over others.I think it is clear you have to walk the teachings, and not just utter the words. I believe we can make it mean what we wish it to mean. Yet, by our situation in today's world, it is abundantly clear most do not walk The Way! I would say Green man and other so-called pagan beliefs were a natural way of seeing an order in the world that most have become disconnected from. The whole is one! It means the entire cosmos and all that it entails. I just do not think that any omnipotent source would have petty human biases and emotions. Why require such a rigid belief system.I have more questions than answers since I see no objective facts to support a concise opinion.

Now you go and tell Netanyahu and the 6, 000,000 Jews in Israel that they cannot use their Jewish Bible to claim Palestine as theirs.

SImply stating it’s the “Word of YHWH” is a childish comment and much like claiming the Easter Bunny is real because I BELIEVE IT!

“….God exists, It just does. How on earth do you think all this got here? How do you loonies achieve some form of consciousness?…..”

Well that proves it! I should have asked you these questions years ago.

The Bible:  begins with a talking snake, ends with a four-headed monster; NON FICTION?

    And WE are the ‘loonies’?

The problem I have with Christians arguing for their version of truth is that they only have one source – their bible. But unfortunately, in order to debate the validity of the bible, you CANNOT quote the bible – you HAVE to use outside contemporary source material. And there is NONE. You cannot use the bible to argue for its veracity. So pointing to its contents does nothing to convince others who have read a lot of valid material outside of its covers. And the idle threats provided by christians and their precious ‘book’ also do nothing except cause more comtempt for them and their belief. SImply stating it’s the “Word of God” is a childish comment and much like claiming the Easter Bunny is real because I BELIEVE IT!

Is it really the Word of God?  Let’s see…… if you can read something logical you may be surprised. But you have to take off your blinders. Promise?

So go on with your belief but don’t expect others to share your jaded world view. Besides, the Green Man’s coming soon and when he gets here all you Christians are gonna be really unhappy. Touche’

Odd name because Nazareth wasn’t around as a city until the 4th century. The mistranslation of the word “nazareth” was actually from the word “Nazarene” and had nothing to do with a town from which he hailed. Nazarene was a messianic religious sect of that time and it is widely speculated that Jesus was a member of it as well as John (baptist).

There were several different lists with different monuments on them - this was just the one that got promoted the most. Plus, maybe they lasted longer than others that could be put on this list. I for one have never heard of this Labyrinth in Egypt and do not recall having seen anything remotely resembling some holy site that looked like a Labyrinth. The only thing close are some of the foundations for the worker housing for the pyramids and the Valley of the King tombs, but I doubt that they could have been so magnificent to be mentioned by Herodotus. Maybe you could explain more about the Labyrinth and where it was located and maybe a reference easily obtainable that shows it.

To the other responder's point about other monuments that could be added to the list, the places he listed appear to be all New World sites, all of which were unknown by the creators of this list of Ancient Wonders. A few of the items I've also never heard of and some, like Puma Pinku or whatever, are ruins without an understanding of what the place looked like originally. I'm sure the original Parthenon in Athens looked marvelous, but right now it's just a bunch of stones laid out on the Acropolis and I don't think I've even seen anyone do a reconstruction of it, except as a vague "temple of the type" you would find in that period.

Agree. But then this worldview as a plant being say backbone of the univerese suporting worlds/galaxies is not only in north mythology but throughout the ancient world and in Vedas too.Considering Vedas are the oldest source, i tend to think that north mythology talks about planets maybe even galaxies .Therefore Asgard and other worlds are planets somewhere in space. After all that’s how i see it, not saying you’re wrong

According to me there is deformation or any artificial deformation. How can one add mass to the bone if a head is elongated the sides will become narrow. People head elongated heads long back, and as I looked at old carvings in India only the womens head looked elongated liked puffed and the men looked just normal.

In my opinion, Yggrasil is a metaphor for the American continent. If you imagine the continent of America as it would have appeared with a dry Caribbean (and Gulf of Mexico), it looks a lot like a tree, with South America and Central America being the trunk, and North America being the branches and leaves.

Niflheim, one of the Nine Worlds, which was described as a primordial land of ice and snow, could be a reference to the parts of the North American continent that were covered in ice during the last Ice Age.
