(CNN)Ancient Egyptians and their modern counterparts share less in common than you might think. That is, at least genetically, a team of scientists have found.
Researchers from the University of Tuebingen and the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History in Jena, both in Germany, have decoded the genome of ancient Egyptians for the first time, with unexpected results.
Publishing its findings in Nature Communications, the study concluded that preserved remains found in Abusir-el Meleq, Middle Egypt, were closest genetic relatives of Neolithic and Bronze Age populations from the Near East, Anatolia and Eastern Mediterranean Europeans.
Modern Egyptians, by comparison, share much more DNA with sub-Saharan populations.
The findings have turned years of theory on its head, causing Egyptologists to re-evaluate the region's history while unlocking new tools for scientists working in the field.
Correcting past errors

It is an interesting an elaborate theory that the stones at Stonehenge and elswhere may have been moved with a device similar to Tasker’s lifting machine. There are far easier, simplier and more effective ways to move gigantic stones than using lifting machines. And how would one do that? By using acoustic levitation tehcniques. And you can bet that very few to none of the tourist guides will bring this up….that what the tourist are seeing nowis how it never looked before.
Is there any proof of this? Oh yeah...You see the whole town was in on it….knowing full well that they would be purposely deceiving future generations into believing all this work was amazingly done in ancient times.Well it wasn’t. Back in 1865 the Stonehenge you would have seen then and what you see today is a bare resemblance.
And just one hundred years ago, in 1921 the 3rd adjusting and/or rebuilding event took place at Stonehenge. Huge cranes were used to move every single stone before repositioning in its new concrete base. They also used enormous flatbed trucks and giant cranes to lift and haul stones from a quarry a couple hundred miles away and brought them to the site where they were put into position...as if the ancients had done this somehow. But in thi case they didn’t. All of this was swept under the rug, conveniently not ever mentioned by tourist guides or any of the locals. And surprisingly, Ancient Origins (has not to my knowledge), ever made a detailed acticle about this mordern deception...as if it doesn’t exist.

We need more context here. Since only the pot and a slender tool were found, with no indication of which gender was using this material, it’s difficult to make a concrete determination of what this is, and what it was used for. Could it be “make up,” possibly, but it’s much more likely it was used to signify one’s tribe with markings on the face and body, or as something for sunburn. We need more proof.

Australian aboriginal use of white body paint for ritual purposes is widely attested to. It still happens today and that use was by no means restricted to this one group. White ochre was common in Xhosa culture, in Africa for example.
This ritual use is far more likely here than either hunting camouflage or purely aesthetic make-up. The camouflage hypothesis relies on the user having darker skin pigmentation.
Even with regard to the make-up hypothesis, why is not just as possible that it was used in the hair?

We need more context here. Since only the pot and a slender tool were found, with no indication of which gender was using this material, it’s difficult to make a concrete determination of what this is, and what it was used for. Could it be “make up,” possibly, but it’s much more likely it was used to signify one’s tribe with markings on the face and body, or as something for sunburn. We need more proof.
