The assertion that witches would ride a broomstick or other conveyance through the sky doesn't seem to be based on actual eye witness accounts of this activity. If there are any I would be highly interested in studying them, not what witches themselves have to say about it.

Who's to say that thru history, early details of the bag were wrong? Maybe it was in fact a red velvet bag.Maybe after being embalmed She put in a red velvet bag because the leather bag was soiled with blood and she didn't want the newly embalmed head soiled with said blood.Either way,the bag should have traces of DNA in it!

What's in a name? It all depends on who "owns it". Moshe, Moishe, Moses, all Hebrew names, ceased to be spoken in everyday language by the second to fourth century A.D.
Hebrew evolved from the Canaanite languages, whose roots stem from the Phoenician language, whose ultimate root is Hindu.

As this articles states, Neanderthals emerged around 400,000 years ago and went extinct around 40,000 years ago. So why did this international team of scientists give this momentous find the relatively "modern" name of Moshe to this skeleton? Just because it was found in the environs of the state that we call Israel does NOT mean it deserves that title. It could just as well have been named Harry, Ray, or dare I say it, Mohammid? After all, Mohammid IS a Semitic name, as is Moshe. Just sayin'.

From the headline, I would expect to see image of how we thought they looked, and an image of how they actually looked -- or at least a detailed written comparison.

    Stupid click-bait headlines.

Elaborating on your theme, you might be interested in reading, "Egypt Knew No Pharaohs Nor Israelites" by Ashraf Ezzat.

The main contention that Ezzat raises is that the Israelites were never slaves in Egypt proper, but instead were situated in the land of western Yemen. You can either buy this book at Amazon or if you have a Kindle device you can download it for a few dollars. It is a good read and will change your perspective on where the Hebrews lived while in "captivity" and give you a better understanding of Egyptian history devoid of the muddied version you read in the Hebrew Tenach or "Old" Testament.

Here are a few words about the book from its author Ashraf Ezzat:

  • Reply to: Could Ancient Peruvians Soften Stone?   5 years 6 months ago

This article is a typical bit of bull. Go to Peru and ask the people how the rocks were shaped. It is WELL KNOWN there that a local plant was used to make a softening agent. Clay molds were used to transfer the shape to matched. The mating surface was softened then scrape away until a prefect fit was achieved. There is no mystery. There is no explanation lacking. One of my guides showed me all of this and even showed me the plant he claimed they used...a Yucca. Maybe he was wrong about that...but regardless, the method is known and understood in Peru.

    Comment Author: Iggy

Although I can't disagree that Eden was not in Egypt (It may have been. I can strongly disagree with your assumptions about everything else. The Bible is real. The stories are real.
The Pharoah the Egyptians tried to erase is the same one that let Joseph (the coat of many colors) out of jail and eventually let him rule over slaves in America (the Grand Canyon) to bring food back to Egypt after the 7 years of drought Joseph warned him his dream meant.
Thats who all the mourning women were mourning, remember? So the Pharoah accepted Joseph's God NOT vice versa!
And I believe like you say if you take the words simply, it's much easier to figure out... I believe Ahmose1 was Moses not just because of his stele but also kamose's stele and the Pharoah's daughter saying I'll name him Moses because I pulled him out of the water. Ahmose was the one who pulled him out of the water. She named him after herself! That and a Meriom that was his sister wife. But don't just take my word for it. Do the research!

I agree with Joe Mahler; More study is needed, while in the meantime, refraining from 'spectacular' statements to feed a sensationalist press . ( It doesn't seem to matter where in the world one might be, they make a lot of fluff to fill a story line, and seriously interested folks, would welcome serious reads ! ) Thanks Joe !

The primary reason IMO for Church's assault on witches was the local populations reliance on them, rather than the church, when faced with illness, bad luck, childlessness, etc.
The locals paid the witches for their services, money that if there were no witches would likely come to the church for prayers to solve the problems. Keep in mind the Church at the time derived considerable revenue from the sale of indulgences.
The witches were competition; let's kill them off was the solution. With the majority of organized religion, if you want to understand a doctrine, just follow the money:)

As an RN and Rh- mother, please note that the Rh incompatibility between mother and child is ONLY an issue with second and subsequent pregnancies. The first child (even if miscarried) is immune from the problem; it is only after fetal blood cells are co-mingled with the mothers during the trauma of delivery that the initial sensitization occurs. THEN the woman developments anti-Rh antibodies that DO cross the placental barrier and destroy the red blood cells of the child later conceived. In addition, this is NOT an issue if the the father or fathers are themselves Rh-.

“Shugborough Inscription Decoding on Shepherd’s Monument” video link is https://youtu.be/kuGNJ3BmD-k. My findings are not just suggestive but actual decodings. In three of my videos, the Carthage goddess of fertility, Tanit, was part of the message. In my Shugborough Inscription decoding, the message not only names Tanit, but also her rival of death, Mot. My decoding of the Teutonic Order’s seal in the “Sword Brothers History, Seal Translation & Templar-Oak Island Connection” video also discovered the message Tanit, and, additionally, she is also passingly mentioned in my “Black Madonna Decoding,” which decoded letters stitched on the garments of a Madonna found on the Canary Island of Tenerife. Check out all the decodings on my Brothers of the Sword Production YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwU-GZmNng1gT3qKFh2YRsA and leave a comment about your thoughts on the validity of my decodings…

"I would sleep all day to be rested up and ready for midnight so I could unleash hell on the world into the wee hours of the morning." Sounds like something straight out of a really bad made for TV movie. I suspect its a complete fabrication.

As others commented Halloween is based in old Celtic traditions and in its current form it is a celebration of imagination and reinvention for young and old alike. My suspicion about the Satanophobia the author is trying to invoke is based in the need for a cult like his to have an evil "other" to keep his followers frightened and obedient.

This would be laughable except such irrationality has gotten people hurt. Look back to the "Satanic Panic" of the 1980's. Alleged experts convinced some in the law enforcement and therapy fields that devil worshipers were lurking everywhere. The result was that a number of innocent people were accused of terrible crimes and had their lives ruined because the evangelical community implanted this false belief. Hopefully people will continue to call out this author and his ilk on their utter nonsense.

Hi Edward—great comment. Read it after I wrote mine. Horrifying to think they “restored” the Chartres Black Madonna to white. Glad She is showing her true colors again!

Worth reading the classic book “The Cult of the Black Virgin” by Ean Begg. He puts to rest the idea of candle smoke, aging of wood, etc. The sculptural forms of many of the European Black Madonnas is quite distinct, often Romanesque. And although the figure may be black (if it hasn’t been “restored” to white), the hands are usually large and often white—and the associated figure of Jesus is not black. They are often associated with healing miracles as well and go back much before Christianity—perhaps even representing Isis in her mother guise. JUST read the first comment and I agree with Edward, although I would suggest there is a syncretism at work between the Ancient Earth Goddess and the Virgin Mary.
