I agree that we underestimate the ancient people. Even today there aren't a lot technology actually has done in adding to our life span. The important factors remain the same: sleep quality, nutrients, stress level. For example, GMO is utilized to produce massive amount of crops but these crops are gluten-laced and deprived of the goody of traditional crops. This is why we have been consuming so much more sugar than people from before and obesity has become a problem more and more. There are no pharmesutical drugs or nano robots capable to best nutritional science so far. I wish that day will come where technology finally is able to take a crucial rule though.

Methanone, which was reportedly found in 1300 year- old medicine bottles, is one of the more potent "synthetic marijuana" designer drugs, notoriously being used in the now illegal "Spice" compounds. Whomever decided this was an "ancient antidepressant" may need to do a little homework. One could call wine an "ancient nerve tonic", I suppose...... and then the skip to rhodiola rosea, which has nothng to do with either of the drugs reportedly found. I think the editorial staff is out to lunch.......

Is this the same stone refereed to as the Coronation stone? If so I've read articles that claim this stone is actual stone that Jacob's head was resting on when he had his dream.

Come on, Helen. Lighten up, this is a fun article full of pail jokes that pale in comparison to other bucket jokes.

Helen, each use of "pail" in such a manner was intended as a pun. The tone of the article was lighthearted, as indicated by such phrases as "what-the-bucket." We definitely do understand the proper usage of each version of "pale/pail," but tried to have fun with this story.

I didn't read it, if the writer doesn't know the difference between a pail as in a bucket and pale as in paling into insignificance, then it doesn't inspire confidence that they know their history either. Not good enough!

Ok to talk of Ethiopia as the most know ancient civilization, but do not call it 'the history of humanity' because the period of the neolithic age is not constituting the whole history of mankind, and not to forgot the others regions of the northeastern Africa, or what is known as upper and lower Egypt, but the question is that the actual civilization is not belonging to the ancient Nubians' culture and that is entirely centered on the Hellenic heritage which was of a different and distinct civilization.

No, you are wrong. I have no clue where you received your information from. Having been born and raised in China, and having lived in Korea, I can say with 100% certainty you are entirely wrong. Chinese and other Asians can tan, just like whites can tan. I've seen whites look very tan, and Chinese look very tan. Do you know why some of my people look dark? Becuase they are always out in the sun, and rarely if ever use sunblock. This same feature is seen in whites who are in the sun for hours everyday, and who do not use sun block. The Chinese people that I grew up, that I went to school with, that I went to college with, that I traveled across China with, are mostly all light skinned people who burn the same as whites in the west do.

It is nowdays where people realize how damaging UV light is, and why many people either are out of the sun most of the day or wear sunblock. Even I, born and raised in China, burn easily if I were to go outside all day without sunblock...same as a white person would.

How did they know there are stones inside, as opposed to something else? Were there other rattles nearby, broken? I didn't see any mention of such in either article.

This was a really interesting article since Philadelphia is my hometown. Although, I do live in South Jersey now (14 years). I never knew all of that information about Northeast Philadelphia, which is where I am from. My mom was from South Philly as a child and my Northeast Philly. My dad was a contractor and he and his men painted Grace Kelly's home, Elfreth's alley, and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. So I look at him as a part of history too. lol. Thanks so much for this enlightening article that I will share!

Yes let’s end this conversation, so you can stop making up “stuff”, to justify your personal opinions. You failed to refute any of my claims with pertinent information.

    1) You were unable to support your claim of an AMH-Neanderthal hybrid population in Central Asia that was the ancestor of Native America. 2) You failed to refute the archaeological evidence of human settlements in South America older than 10,000bp.3) You failed to prove that Sub-Saharan Africans/Negroes in the Levant 55,000 years ago were different from Sub-Saharan Africans/Negroes today.4) You failed to present any archaeological evidence disputing Dr. Guidon’s research that Africans were in Brazil 65,000=100,000 years ago. 5) You failed to refute Chatters and Neves identification of the PaleoAmericans as members of the Black/Negro variety, i.e., Melanesian, African or Australian. Shame on you manufacturing misinformation and lies just to win an argument.

Stop trying to steal the history of the Black Native Americans.

I have patiently refuted each of your claims numerous times and, in spite of your claims to the contrary, provided you with links to the pertinent information. Still, you insist upon cherry picking information, misquoting and twisting my words to legitimize your frankly fringe ideas which have no basis in facts. You sir are fact proof. I see no point in continuing this fruitless conversation.
