Interesting theory regarding Danites being Greek. It is possible they allied themselves with the invading Hebrews (Israel did not exist yet as a kingdom) having been left high and dry by Egypt during a period of instability. The date discrepancy is a problem, but David Rohl has written several books proposing a "New Chronology" (originally developed by others) that corrects the timeline for the time Hebrews were in Egypt, when they invaded Canaan, when David and Solomon's united Israel was a regional power, etc. He even ties in some legendary figures with likely historical persons, based on phonetic derivations of their names in Egyptian and other languages of the area. He also shows in one book how there are ruins that were likely occupied by Hebrews in different time periods corresponding to their arrival during the time of Joseph and their departure in the time of Moses. Although tradition says Rameses was the pharaoh of Exodus, it likely was another pharaoh and there are records suggesting the 10 plagues. I recently saw something on maybe History Channel or similar that showed how the 10 plagues actually could derive off of each other - the river runs red due to algae eruption, that brings the next plague (frogs?), which brings the next (sickness due to dying frogs?), etc. (sorry I can't reember my plagues). The quote Mr. Hamilton provides is really only one guy's opinion on why things don't match up, who maybe has an agenda to prove that things don't add up, when there are proposed theories that do line up the historical record with the Bible without a lot of twisting.

I agree with Mr. Mahler that finding Greek pottery proves nothing except that there was active trade with Greece. However,if they were Greek by blood, it might explain why they attacked Laish which was built near a mountain and might have reminded them of their mountainous home country (mental shrug).

It is true that archaeology has shown that the Hebrews were indeed in Egypt, but much earlier than the reign of Ramses the Great who was mace popular as the pharaoh of Egypt by Cecil B. DeMille in “The Ten Commandments”. A colorful theory but not probable primarily for 2 reasons. 1. If the ten plagues indeed occurred, Egypt would have been in turmoil for at least a generation afterwards and there is no such record at that time.

    2. The pharaoh that followed Ramesis, his son Merneptah,  invaded Canaan. A stele recording his victory over Israel, the first description of them discovered so far, described his victor, stating Israel is laid waste and his seed is no more. It is unlikely that the Israelites would have created a nation worthy of such note in such a short time, especially of they wandered in the desert for 40 years.

Archaeology has indicated that the “Invasion of the Israelites” was more of a slow migration into a society that was already in decline.

Yahweh did have a wife called Asherah, a Canaanite goddess. Archaeology has unearthed statues of her that date to pre-Babylonian exile. When the Israelites returned, she was no longer worshipped though there are oblique, probable references to her later in the Bible where prophets called on the people to destroy all the “high places” which were typically places where she had been worshipped.

The theory that he was poisoned is not new. Various poisons have been proposed over the years and I doubt we will ever know for certain. He definitely did not die from syphilis or AIDS as the symptoms do not match (especially the time frame). As for Hephaeston dying, he downed after falling out of a boat. After his death, Alexander’s drinking increased. I doubt that poison was placed in his wine because he was known to share his wine with his closest companions, requiring them to offer a toast. Poison in his cup is a possibility.

I would  have to agree with the above comment as recent findings by paleologists from three universities demonstrate that there was not the vegetation to support the herbivores needed for food by human beings in the Beringian Corridor.

Bentley your questions about type O blood are intriguing. It will be very hard to answer these questions because have not seen any studies on ancient blood types. If we had these studies we could then compare hunter-gather people and cattle herders to determine if there is truely a relationship between diet and blood type.

The research on ancient DNA is having some surprising results which is making it difficult to characterize the culture practiced by an ancient population and the genome they carry.

Yes...the type O map on that particular link was what first raised this question for me a few months ago, it smacks of a very possible much earlier migration during evolution. I understand the complexity of the Antigen situation and appreciate your great explanation here. But can’t help but to go back even further in the timeline of evolution with this. Infact this is what sent me looking.

It is debated if type A or type O came first in the ABO Primate/Human Evolution. Primates are almost all type A with type O popping up just once in awhile. If one was to use the also debated “Blood Type Diet" as a perspective, Type O is associated with consumption of primarily Meat. Type A is associated with consumption of Vegetation. And Type B supposedly came later and is associated with Agriculture and consuming Cereal Grains.

Seeing that Type O has zero antigens but both A and B antibodies could it have actually been first in Man as he first evolved from Primate? Could it be that the primates who were for some reason forced to eat more Meat due to a lack of Vegetation and started to become more often than not primarily Type O? Since type O+O always produces type O could this be the key transitional event that mutated primate into the first species of human who was now breeding Type O+O creating the dominating blood type from that point in evolution going forward to be remutated again later in time into the ABO situation? Could this have been where the Human Brain started to increase in size and capability from eating more Meat than Vegetable matter?

If one was to consider this as possible, then it might also be true that a very early migration of this new primarily Type O species may have migrated to South America during this particular very early timeline in human evolution when all man was still Type O. Kind of Intriguing isn’t it?

This is why I lean towards the beliefs of the Gnostics. To make a long story short, Gnostics believed we are trapped in the clockwork universe of the Demiurge, a powerful spiritual being who envied the real creator's accomplishment of creation and sought to mimic it, thus coming up with a sort of half-baked, vastly inferior version of the original creation. He captured some other spirits and shattered them, then used the shards to populate his crappy universe, trapping them in an endless loop of rebirth and wiping their memories each time. The Gnostics focused on awakening to the spirit self to achieve salvation, which was to escape the trap of the Demiurge and return to the true Creation.

There is too much archeology and history that supports Israel's settlement of the land that the Romans called Palestine after they cast the Jews out. There are those who clutch straws to say that all is a lie. Muslims cannot do this without implying that Muhammad was wrong. But anti-Semites and haters of Christianity don't hesitate to find reasons to claim that the Bible is mistaken. Recent finds in Egypt have found the presents of Hebrews in the Delta region. However, those finds appear to be in an earlier period than what archeologist want to find them, so that has been a consistent effort to ignore them.

Jacob himself described Dan's future, and said that his people would wander, and leave sign posts wherever they went. Hence, you have Danube, Dneister, Dneper, Denmark, Donnegal, Dunne, etc. At a certain time in history, Greece was where it was happening, as well as western Turkey. The red Jews of Zerah were long established there. I also had an inspiration: could the Spartans be the Sparring Dans. The Irish always loved a good fight.

The first Name of Stonehenge was "heaven"

After this I looked, and, behold, a door (entrance) was opened in heaven (stonehenge): and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither (north), and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne (mishkan) was set in heaven (stonehenge), and one (heelstone) sat on the throne (mishkan).
And he (heelstone) that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow (heelstone ditch) round about the throne (mishkan), in sight like unto an emerald.
And round about the throne (mishkan) were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders (24 fossils) sitting, clothed in white raiment (the chalk); and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
And out of the throne (mishkan) proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning (brass altar) before the throne (mishkan), which are the seven Spirits of God (7 gold relics).
And before the throne (mishkan) there was a sea of glass (the channel) like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne (mishkan), and round about the throne (mishkan), were four beasts full of eyes (heelstone eyeholes) before and behind.
And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle (heelstone pareidolia).
And the four beasts had each of them six wings (4 heelstone, 2 mishkan) about him; and they were full of eyes (heelstone eyeholes) within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him (heelstone) that sat on the throne (mishkan), who liveth for ever and ever,
The four and twenty elders (24 fossils) fall down before him (heelstone) that sat on the throne (mishkan), and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne (mishkan), saying,
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

    The Healing Stones

Stonehenge (heaven) shall be a site of healing, again. Creatures may go there to be made well. The blind will receive sight. The lame shall walk. The lepers will be cleansed. The deaf shall hear. The dumb will speak. The maimed shall be made whole. The cancered will be cured. And the dead shall be raised up. Bluestones in the centre of Stonehenge (heaven) will be recharged, and the magical healing powers (G=c^5/Power, G=c^4/Force) in the Bluestones shall return; After the throne (mishkan) exhumation @ Heelstone.

However, if any charge or any fee for admission to Stonehenge (heaven) is ever imposed; Including, but not limited to: parking, taxes, bookings, etc, that site of healing will cease, again. Creatures may go elsewhere to be made well, Bluestones in the centre of Stonehenge (Heaven) will be discharged, Power of G, Force of G, stopped; And the magical healing powers in the Bluestones shall end, again.

"This is what archaeologists have learned from their excavations in the Land of Israel: the Israelites were never in Egypt, did not wander in the desert, did not conquer the land in a military campaign and did not pass it on to the 12 tribes of Israel. Perhaps even harder to swallow is the fact that the united monarchy of David and Solomon, which is described by the Bible as a regional power, was at most a small tribal kingdom. And it will come as an unpleasant shock to many that the God of Israel, Jehovah, had a female consort and that the early Israelite religion adopted monotheism only in the waning period of the monarchy and not at Mount Sinai. Most of those who are engaged in scientific work in the interlocking spheres of the Bible, archaeology and the history of the Jewish people - and who once went into the field looking for proof to corroborate the Bible story - now agree that the historic events relating to the stages of the Jewish people's emergence are radically different from what that story tells."

As I understand it, mitochondrial DNA studies suggest that most parings were between male neanderthal and modern women. Assuming their offspring are viable, do you think a 150 pound modern man could overpower and rape the more robust 180 pound neanderthal woman? it also seams likely that sex was used to curry the favor of larger more established populations or used as a trade commodity as it is with both "modern" men and bonobo apes. The oldest profession may well be an accurate statement. I am just curious why would you assign,"guilt" to modern man and not to neanderthal who quit obviously did more of the sexual adventurism?
