Sorry, but the car stopped so my mate could go take a dump behind those trees over there. However, he was disturbed by the arrival of the moose, which was kinda distracting, and I carried on recording for a laugh. it was only when we later checked it out on a big screen in the house, that it became obvious we could rewrite History and fool everyone into believing something quite different, as the figure is not exactly identifiable, and hey, it worked!

Well, Thoth101, if god never changes then that means the god of the old and new testament must be very different entities. One is harsh and unforgiving... The other is accepting, even of unclean things like gentiles (which are unclean according to Jewish people)

It was in the volcanic Azores not far from the Pillars of Hercules where an exploded island was recently found underwater.

Sodomy was specifically coined from the city's name.

I commend you on your question regarding thr omniscient attribute of God. It is one that great writers and thinkers have asked. The reason God was curious about the state of Sodom was not because He did not know the goings on of the cities, but because He responds to those the cry out to Him. Do not mistake investigation for a modern idealization. He was not going to observe, record and try to understand as we do with the scientific method. Rather, like a Father that hears His child cry out in pain, He responded to thier outcry and sent His angels to see if repentance was possible or if those that dwelled there were so corrupted that they could not see truth or reason anymore. In the story we see the clear answer. Thier response to perfection is to forcefully violate it. This is a sin beyond reason. Was this a surprise to God? No. But He always gives people a chance to turn from thier wickedness.
To the comment above, please edit 'biblical scholar' to 'scholar'. This idea of 'hospitality' only has come up in the age of extreme relativism in an attempt to bait those with a homosexual lifestyle. The text clearly is referring to rape of a most brutal kind. This was the immediate response of the citizens and I do not understand why some think that is worthy of defending.
Thanks for the article. Many great minds have already tackled this, but it was a nice read.

The rules for what could and could not be eaten for Lent became very silly over time. So it would be that only fish were permitted and then beaver and water fowl would be counted among the fish. Such silly rules

That article has BS in it - this BS in particular - "crystal clear waters created by the melting of the ice sheets and climatic conditions that have prevented the growth of algae blooms". That rang some alram bells – as I seemed to recall reading an article several years ago about the "water in great lakes becoming clearer" - and it was not attributed to "Global Warming". So, I did a quick Google Search - and found a very recent article. The clear water is not caused by Global Warming (ummm sorry "climate change") - it is caused by mussels - invasive mussels.  The site wont let me publish the link in a comment – but you can find on “greatlakesecho” . org website – a 2/20/2020 article – that invasive mussels are clearing the water...

I think it is real, but Atlantis is NOT Santorini or Crete.  Plato says that Atlantis was OUTSIDE the pillars of Hercules.  This means that Santorini and Crete are out of the running to be Atlantis.  I think that Atlantis is more likely to be found possibly in the Carribean, which sustained serious damage during the Dryas event.

I'm confused, firstly, I learned in primary school that Romans introduced rabbits so this has been common knowledge for decades and also hare's are actually native to the UK, meaning they have been here since the end of the last ice age. Chickens however, come from China and were only ever a food source.
Also, Lillie's flower in late summer, members of the Lilly family like bluebells and spring cinquefoil flower at Easter but this isn't stated, I think that 90% of this article is misleading and would brand it as 'fake news'.

  • Reply to: DNA study solves mystery of Himalayan Yeti, with surprising results   4 years 2 weeks ago

As you can check only samples provided or found, what is there to link any of them to the Yeti? Nothing! If you believe the tales of monks and men anxious to establish the Yeti as an important cultural, nay, religious presence, the bits and bobs preserved in Lamaseries etc lack streetcred and all predate whoever shows them to you, often by several generations. And you cant yourself log a bit of bear hair you have found as a suspected Yeti, as this is the very definition of Fake News- you have no evidence that it IS NOT a bear's hairs!

But these artifacts are articles of faith in the area, and the result of many sightings over the generations of an upright creature , like a big hairy man-ape, by experienced locals who can tell the difference between a bear and an ape, there being both in Nepal and Bhutan and Ladakh.

I was told a traveller's tale by a woman who was in Katmandu grieving over the loss of friends killed in yet another attempt on the summit of K2, a long way away from where she was on holiday.

Members of that expedition had informed her that three of the survivors had become lost in a blizzard on the way back to base camp, and had been at risk of losing their lives in the night and the cold, when they were approached by a couple who helped them into their shelter, a cave in the rocks, and who had remained with them throughout the storm and for several days afterward. She told me the couple then led them downhill until they reached a path well-used by locals, where they left them to find their way back to town.
The woman told me the couple were Yeti, and her friends described them as taller than people, with thick black hair all over their bodies bar their hands and their faces that were a dark leathery shade of brown, and that they were slim, and inspired no fear in the travellers at all, but concerned themselves for the entire duration of their stay with ensuring they had food, and were able to be warm inside the cave, but she did not make any mention of cooking, or of a fire, so I am not in a position to say what the food was.

This was a good sane sober middle-aged american I was listening to, not some bhanged hippy joker, and her entire manner was serious and credible: she had just lost her own husband, and I do not think that she was making that up (it was in the papers at the time), and I do not believe these other survivors were inventing a story to cheer her up somehow.

There is no evidence at all of any exodus or the death of all the first born in Egypt. Nor any evidence to suggest the Hebrews were slaves.

In fact, there is a great deal of evidence to suggest, that at least one tribe, Dan, were Greek mercenaries. A far cry from a slave.

Just like the author says in the article itself. “No confirmed archaeological evidence of that event has been found”. Why? Because the Bible Jesus never existed and the Roman Testament(New Testament) was written by Romans aristocrats.

It is Easter, a purely Pagan celebration of Venus and has nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity.
