Could this be what is meant in the Bible pertaining to the time of the end when it directs to enter the interior rooms to survive?

The boulders look to be a moderately weathered sandstone, a god soft rock that would be drillable with a flint tipped drill [fire bow on a grand scale =) ] While i have my doubts that they braced hut frames in many cases, I could see them framing in something like warp weighted looms, hide stretching frames and racks for drying meat and bundles of herbs.

The study was flawed, the researchers admit. Back-into-Africa gene flow was much more restricted than it seemed, due to software incompatibilities

The blog system may not like me giving links, google for "nature" (the highly prestigeous publication) plus "error found in study of first ancient african genome"

There is no mention of the depth of the holes. If used to anchor one end of a wooden pole (branch) they need not be too deep provided the other end could be fixed and the (bent) pole was held by its attempt to straighten. Are there matching sets across the gap? it isn't clear. To drill it a flint point could be fixed to a shaft and with someone holding the shaft steady on the hole target, someone else could use cord wound round it to rotate it.

One major problem with "historians" is that they often conflate history. One example is to read the history of England in the united States. It usually begins with the Beaker peoples, the goes on to the Celts, and the Roman invasion, etc. The only problem is that none of these peoples were English. The English had not yet arrived on the Island of Britannia. It gets worse when the history of Ireland it studied here. There is no distinction between the English and the Normans. Now we get to America, though the different peoples from the various "nations" of England and the British Islands are distinct, each with their own customs and views of life, most Americans are taught that they were all English as if there is some sort of homogenization of the peoples. That is not how America was settled and hence though most of America's culture is from the British Isles, nevertheless, the different regions reflect those cultural and value differences that were inherited from the British Isles. In other words, the peoples of America are different according to their British origins and continued history. In many ways they are growing apart and not together.

It is questionable whether the human remains are of modern humans/Homo sapiens sapiens. The skull has a small forehead and brow ridges. It also has an elongated shape at its back.

Could it be from a sub species like Homo sapiens idaltu? Maybe from a hybrid of Homo sapiens and another species, or, another species entirely?

That was not my reason for commenting, I know the history of England my own country, my comment was aimed at the dubious point of Athelfead being British, when she was not, she was West Saxon, situated in England, not Britain, or Britain, only as far as being situated on the Island. As for the Welsh not being English, I know that. the above article is about a figure of English History, not Welsh, although she did campaign against the Welsh as well as the Norse.

The author wrote, "England was broken down into various smaller, independent kingdoms which, themselves, were divided into tribes. Among the most prominently valued by historians are East Anglia, Mercia, Northumbria, Wessex and Gwynedd, among others."

However, Gwynedd is in Wales and not England. The Welsh are not Anglo-Saxons. They are not even today English.

Athelflead, wasn't British, she was English, she wasn't married to a King, but to an Earl of Mercia. What she did, had nothing to do with Britain as a Whole, only the future Unification of England as a whole. Calling her British, is like calling Britain the Island a Country, it is not, it is simply an Island where three distinguishable individual Nations/Countries are situated. England is England, the largest of the Countries situated on the Island of Britain. Athelflead was English, born in the English Kingdom of Wessex, of English Ancestry and Origin, not British since the idea of British as a whole was invented after 1707 and the act of political Union between England and Scotland!!

In the beginning all was void and had no mass. On day 1 let their be light, On day 2 let their be heaven and earth, On day 3 let their be a sun, On day 4 let the sun, moon and planets be in motion with the earth. What light was identified on day 1 when the sun was not available until day 3???
Answer - The pyramid was built heading true north and south with a 10 by 10 x 10 cubit chamber in its center. The top outside section on the north and south sides was capped with gold. Many called it the tower of babble constructed to house the arc of the covenant in order to allow contact with God like the holy structure (tent) used by Moses. The pyramid covered 13.5 acres. The first was built on the 26.4 latitude north and 65 longitude west. When the arc was placed inside (like the one produced by Knivel Wolf at the University of Minn. in 1969) it would collect cosmic energy (anti gravity). This energy was continued until the 13.5 acer base could not hold it. The downward force allowed the world as first man knew it to be destroyed or sunk into the Atlantic. (Army chore of engineers found beach sand at this location in 1947). In short summary - The Tower of Babble was built defying Gods will and it generated the big flood where people went to new lands where natives talked in different languages.
Keep in mind when we develope the means to exceed the speed of light, we can defy gravity and exist eternally in the past. (Do not be left behind looking for the tooth fairy)

Thomas - The Adams county serpent mound is heading north west with the head holding the moon to the west and the tail with 3 coils at the east. You should be familiar with the western petroglyphs spiral symbols. They are recordings of lunar months. Each coil or partial coil represents time. This method of time keeping has been in the Americas long before Columbus. It was also the process used in Western Europe before 300 BC and the introduction of the Julian calendar. As I stated in my first post, I have worked with the late B. Fell and have spent over 40 years. I am not an author, just a retired engineer who has been to many sites and used modern technology approved by academics to determine the 5 W's of artifacts and sites. If this site is full of folks looking for the tooth fairy we will not be able to correct history.

Using children for hard labour is only partially true .For the most part it was not even children! Children of that young age were simply too weak to do such heavy work. The good doctor should re-examine the skeletons and it will be found that it was "little people" . These Little people were commonly found in Africa ,Europe and parts of Asia 2000 to 4500 years ago..Numerous stone tools of -to us - mini proportions and small tunnels indicate who they where.I have found much evidence in South Africa eg small stone huts, microlithic stone tools and other tiny stone artefacts.

WATCHER 517: I know that relying on assumptions and ideologies is tempting for many people, because they do not require making any efforts. It's much easier to assume, as well as blindly follow the ideologies of other people, than it is for people to think for themselves and make efforts to find out something.

Everyone has a brain and therefore, the potential to think for themselves and make efforts. You might as well use yours to ask questions about everything and learn.

You would benefit by starting to learn about the many invasions of Egypt, as well as its invasions of other lands, since ancient times. You could then learn about the peaceful contact it has had with other countries in Africa, Asia and Europe.

When considering all of that, it becomes clear that Egyptian civilisation has not been isolated. Egypt has a long history of its people mixing with others from other countries.
