The Smithsonian has a history of denying pre-Columbian structures or artifacts contradicting the 19th century certainty of the myth of Columba's discovery, though the evidence continues to mount against it.
Qin Shi Huang created the terra cotta array in Xi’an as a demonstration of the absuridity and costs of war. It was a diorama – intended to be visited by the people of the new empire so they could better appreciate the peace that the first empire had brought to China. It was, in effect, a museum of times past. See: https://wordpress.com/post/shibumimanagementcanada.wordpress.com/736
Fascinating read and I have to wonder if all European may harbor this same genetic traits since I've read a while back that only Europeans share the same lipids of Neanderthal. If this is true this may explain why Europeans have greater difficulty to lose weight than other ethnic groups?
Sorry, but more likely, the Bills & Teds of the ape world probably went extinct because nobody hunted and gathered for them while they got stoned. It's hard to believe the lengths some will go to deny that we are degenerating, not evolving. We are the half-apes compared to the first men.
the ancient Egyptian handbags from my theory is they were mechanical devices used to transmit sound waves which is why they shaped Stone and cut through Stone so perfectly and to this day were trying to understand it on YouTube I was watching a video of a man who used a copper like cylinder to cut through Stone perfectly admitting sound waves and it made me think all the ancients have handbag they all have the knowledge of using sound and frequency and we use it today to
I watched the program and while it was very interesting, at times it went over the top with hype and a frequently hysterical presentation. Let's get back to actual archaeology and not "reality" archaeology.
A "floating island" could either be a case of a mirage (Fata Morgana) where from a distance it seems that the island is actually "hovering", or an excuse for bad navigation. It is not strange that at least in Greek mythology, floating islands were rather small islands.
Very interesting! Also I read here https://www.gidposlovenii.com/2018/11/30/zamok-na-skale/, that Erasmus Lueger was popularly and called the “noble bandit”, the Slovenian Robin Hood. Because he attacked the imperial trade caravans going from Vienna to Trieste, and distributed the loot to ordinary people from the surrounding villages and the Vipava Valley.
Who needs these "gods"? The ONLY things they have to offer us humans, are suffering, guilt, hate, and an impossible ordeal that is put upon us to achieve "salvation". Who are these "gods" to impose "their will" upon us mear mortals? And then we are supposed to think of "god" as the epitome of "love". Give me a fu*king break.
If this "god" (the Egyptian god or any other god) is so wonderful, then why did "he/she/it" make life so difficult for us and full of pitfalls that are equated as "sin"? Why can't "god" just forgive well-meaning individuals without having to go through all these tedious rituals?
The 42 Negative Confessions of Matt is a noble quest and is a more clearly defined construct than the so-called Ten Commandments - which are on several occasions repetitive. Further, the god that gave "his/her/its" law to the Hebrews in the "Wilderness" was a primitive god who gave it to a primitive people - essentially slaves. So, was it any wonder that as soon as they could the Hebrews turned to another god (the Golden Calf) and were having a "good time" when Moses came down off the mountain and "crashed their party"? Oh well.
Given the "nature" of these "gods", is it any wonder that war, strife, greed, jealousy, and suspicion are "the rule of the day"?
Creation reflects the nature of the "god" that created the material world. We humans are a product of our environment. So, why does "god" condemn his/her/its creation. If he/she/it doesn't like us the way we are, then he/she/it should change our nature. What say ye?
Whoever wrote this article, did very little research. The dukduk society is alive and well and practiced for our people (my people -Gunantunan Society). If you're going to write an article, get your facts right. The initial initiation of young boys into the society and further initiation ceremonies when they come of age is an annual ritual which this article doesn't explore. To say that it's mainly for tourists is misleading and insulting.
I’ve heard that in some parts of rural China and India there are some villages where there are no females for the young men to marry due to the abortion of female children

Where in this article does it cover how the pottery was used to 'communicate'? Where does it explain how it worked like a 'social network'? Nonsense.
This is a very thoughtful and well written article. I really enjoyed it.
This man more than likely had a mental illness and these acts of desecration are shameful.

This would be great news, if I thought you were real.
Fuck Off,
A circle resembles a circle. And both circles came from within football pitch of the same ancient wreck......
........ What are the odds.. ?
