How dark is dark skin? How blue are blue eyes? Why does it matter? While it might be helpful to understand this person’s geographic origins to help us understand migrations and population transferring from place to place in history, their skin and eye color does not really matter. It only seems to fuel ‘the race debate’, as evidenced by the myriad of comments.
Roberto is right, ethnicity can be a factor that can be helpful in some medical treatments, but we need to be able to see past a person’s skin and eye color. It seems to me that researcher’s valuable time could be spent researching other factors that might be of some sort of benefit, as I’m not sure there’s any thing to gain from this information.
Could the boat have been BUILT on the mountainside in ancient times to correspond with the myth, possibly as a kind of shrine, possibly as a tourist attraction or even in preparation for a prophesied flood?
I have heard (can't remember where) that the name Medusa is related to the word 'medicine', and to the slavic word for 'honey' (med, myed, medus (Latvian)). Snakes are associated with healing - the symbol of the medical association is a snake entwined around a pole.
Any comments on this would be welcome!
Of course there is no way to adequately explore the concept of afterlife for Christians in such a short article but thanks for a fair handed effort. When Jesus the Christ (Christ or Messiah means anointed one. It's not Jesus' last name.) returns to earth those who are His will meet the returning King in the sky. This is where we get the idea of rapture although that word is not fund in the scripture. At some point there will be a new Heaven and a new earth. The implication is not that we will be sitting around singing hymns. For what it's worth the the Left Behind series represents a fairly new end times thought which is most popular in the West, especially in the States. Finally, the last book of the Christian Bible is Revelation. It is singular with no 's' on it. Stephen King make that mistake in "The Stand". One would think an editor or proof reader would have caught that in a book such as it was.
I grew up at Eunice, New Mexico in the extreme southeast corner of the state. When we first moved there in 1951, there was a life-size staute of Geronimo at a nearby crossroads called (appropriately) Monument. Before the turn of the century, there was a spring there, the only source of water between Big Spring, Texas and the Pecos River at Carlsbad. The statue was facing west, with an outstretched arm pointing in the direction of his homeland in the Gila wilderness, almost 400 miles west. My father told us that “they take him down once a week so he can go to the bathroom.” At 5 and 2 years old, my brother and I almost believed him.
I recall that interpretation too, and I think it is a very valid one. The snake as a fertility symbol (and especially snake mating rituals which are pretty amazing) has a long history and appears in art and relics of many ancient cultures. Plus I am sure the female priests didn't go willingly, hence the beheading:)
What is interesting is the construction of the church interior and dome is entirely of stone, the wooden second roof was to protect the stone roof from elements. So while the wooden roof is gone the stone roof with the exception of one section over the altar is fine.
The real question is how could the ancient oak roof burn so fiercely and so quickly. A real puzzle is in the videos it is clear that the fire is racing AGAINST the wind, what kind of fire does that???
French media reports citing an interview with the former French Inspector-General for Historic Monuments Benjamin Mouton, who oversaw the installation of state-of-the-art fire prevention systems in the Notre Dame Cathedral in 2010, and who was responsible for the building from 2000 to 2013, cast doubt on today's leak to the Associated Press that the fire was likely caused by an electrical short-circuit.
Benjamin Mouton was interviewed live on TV on Monday evening as the fire continued to burn the 850-year-old symbol of French culture and history.
Here's what he had to say: "I don't understand this at all. The fire's spread is extremely curious. With really old oak like that, it's super-hard, so you'd need a lot of smaller wood to first get the fire hot enough for the oak beams to burn.
In 2010 we replaced all the electrical wiring, so there's no way this was sparked by a short-circuit. We put new wiring in place according to modern standards. And we went even further; we installed state-of-the-art fire protection and detection systems in the cathedral.
At all times, there are always two men on standby in the Cathedral, day and night, to go investigate anything the moment an alarm goes off, then if necessary to call the fire emergency services. I am really stunned that this [the fire] has happened. It's incomprehensible."
Interesting idea, and easily testable. Find an ancient block from a failed megalithic wall and see if it is balanced in this way, and how easily it can be moved. Even if much of the conclusions that modern science has come to regarding our history are wrong (for reasons of social pressure), the scientific method is still valid, and no doubt those at MIT are familiar with it.
Are you asking if angelic numbers can be reconfigured from cubits? If so, yes, with a much more profound result. Same goes for any means of number forecasting. When numbers are geometrically driven, unlike modern numerology, they accumulate more substance. In this case, with cubits. This, of course, is in scope of numbers being all (Pythagoras) and geometry being all (Masons).
Angelic numbers, for instance, only touches on the British standard unit tier of a cubit rod. There is √length (mm) cubit/digits and geometric integration tiers to consider that the angelic numbers fail to grasp.
Ancient Egyptian murals show boats of the sea peoples in the same basic design. So to call them Nordic design is misleading. The roots of the maritime culture would seem to be lost with Atlantis.
Bit pointless mentioning Conwall, it’ll be ignored. Always is.Its been known for decades what role Cornwall played in migration and history yet its only in rare instances that its mentioned. The Pilgrim’s Way still exists, in parts, I’ll let the experts decide what role that played. Depending on the timepoint, Cornwall wasn’t even a part of the landmass it now is, its been found through rock analysis that Cornwall broke away from Brittany, it was a seperate body from the rest of its current conjoined landmass. Craig Weatherhill has done a number of books on this subject so obviously this is mainstream knowledge.
Interesting, but it really does not prove anything relative to how the ancients moved, fitted, and lifted the enormous stones. It’s yeah, OK, so what! It’s cute, but none too impressive to me.
Yes and no. It can be done with Computer Aided Design and the use of non homogenous material, but surely this is not the way it was done. In my opinion the interlocking of the blocks and the slanted walls were used in an effort to give stability in an earthquake prone location.
I am sorry, but those blocks DO NOT look like they weigh 25 tons. Also one thing is to roll them around and ANOTHER is to lift them several feet in the air.
According to that video it seems easy to roll them around in a LIMITED area, BUT transporting them over long distances???

The book is available on Amazon.
Read the book!
Go read: March of The Titans by A.Kemp Best History Book out there. Bet you saw that documentary that had a black Hannibal & believed it.....

The technique described here may have worked for the first layer. Subsequent layers have flat bottoms
so how were they set in place?
Has the question arieen, why did the ancients need structures built so? What were the buildings and walls built for and against?
Could it have been the Megafauna before the Dryas event?
Any substantive research dating the different megalithic structures about the world?
