The most Ancient Spirituality is Ancient Bulgarians'spirituality. Ancient Bulgarians were the first human beings on earth and they were enlightened sages, Godly people. They believed their Allfather to be God Absolute Ra - BaRa. From Bara the Absolute Spirit was created the Mother Godess of Energy BaRaKarati or called today in Hinduism Prakriti. From Prakriti the supreme Mother Godess came the matter and the material world. Ancient Bulgarians called Mother Godess BaRaMa and believed her to be the Mother Giving Birth. She had two more manifestations as Vishnu - Mother Holding Fruits, and Shiva - Mother of Transformation, death and New Life. In Bulgarian folklorique songs still songs religious hymns are sand consecrated to Mother Godess brama, Vishnu and Shiva. Those songs were collected in the last century by verkovich and were called Veda Slovena. Bulgarians still call themselves Ora / Hora meaning people of Ra God. Ancient Bulgarians had their Godly trinity consisted of God BaRa Allfather, Godess Ma of matter and naure and God Sun the Son called Bal or sebAzi, god of the light. Tengri must have been one of the many ancient Bulgarian zhretsi, priests of God Ra who spread ancient Bulgarians'spirituality around the globe. The very name tengri is of Ancient Bulgarian origin and means Ta Na Ga Ra (a man of earth and sky). That is also the meaning of the Bulgarian origin word angel.

This article is pure fluff and speculation. Unbiased research has long since shown"Jesus" to be a mythical figure on par with Mithras, Apollo and a legion of other sun god representations.

Well 'God' must have had some sympathy for the Dutch mission for independence in the end because the Spaniards had to sign the 'Peace of Münster-treaty' as part of the 'Peace of Westphalia-treaty', which gave the Dutch their long sought autonomy in the form of the Dutch Republic after a bloody eighty year war (1568 - 1648).

Here we see yet another example of people who know it all fill in the gaps of history. Let's call this what it really is: a fraud. As christianity is: it's all made up. The christianity as we know it is Pauls' christianity and what the churches later made of it. The 'original' Jesus was a celestial being messianic ('christian') jews worshipped hoping he would come to earth and kick out the Romans. Paul however was a collaborator of the Romans and he adapted the jewish religion to be in accordance with Roman interests: in Pauls' christianity non-jews could participate as well and Paul introduced the idea of the 'heavenly kingdom'; no longer was the goal of christianity to kick out the Romans. The gospels were all written after Paul had died. That's it folks; that really is all there is to it. It's all nonsense!
And if you want to learn more about the real christianity go see YouTube: Richard Carrier - Did Jesus Even Exist?
Happy Hollidays! (And let's all convert to science!!!) :P (Face it! - Pun intended...)

Thank you AO for finally bringing this ‘article of faith’ to light. I have heard about this relic all my life, but had never seen pictures of it before. Now it is obvious why it has never been seen. Anyone with even a cursory knowledge in art history would recognize the image of a 12th or 13th century artists depiction of a face. A face which bears little if any resemblance whatsoever to the Shourd of Turin. Tha vatican is steeped in a history of relic forgeries and this appears to be just one more.

Can Paul Badde the famous ‘Vaticanist’ (whatever that is) explain how the cloth stuck to the eyeballs of the individual to create the image? And how about the teeth?  While there may be, and probably is, blood on the cloth, it is not beyond speculation that the artist used actual human blood to assist in creating the image on sea silk (byssus). The miraculous aspects of the cloth is actually the miraculous characteristics of the sea silk it was woven from. Not miraculous at all, just fascinating. Sea silk is and always has been the most expensive fabric obtainable. Only the very wealthy can/could afford it which is unlikely for a commoner like Veronica. But a wealthy institution like the Vatican could well afford it and the project of creating such an image upon it, through dying, bleaching and possibly even weaving.

An actual scientific study of this cloth produced some interesting conculsions; one which points to it not being byssus at all, but linen.

The face of religion or the face of naive science...that is the question What the science have to do with this ? The science is the new religion  and that mean it is not anymore a science but more often a marketing machine that try to sale anything but the truth So there is a big difference between a religion man made face and the real one and the real one is the shroud of Turin

“This structure, which has dimensions of more than 1500m×600m, is the most striking discovery associated with Angkor Wat to date. Its function remains unknown and, as yet, it has no known equivalent in the Angkorian world.”

Or the rest of the known ancient world, or the modern world, if this is to be taken seriously.  1500m is (obviously) a kilometer-and-a-half, and even the short side of this beast would have been more than double the width of the great pyramid.  I wish they gave more details about it.  One would have to seriously question how, if Angkor Wat was actually constructed during the middle ages, such a massive structure could have since nearly vanished.

There are so many silly comments here but nobody questions this story, there seems to be no other follow-up to it.

The direction to the village of El-Haraneya is south of east, in totally the wrong direction for the causeway as described by any previous articles or evidence. Furthermore it is over 3km from the great pyramid. If the valley temple is concluded to be under the village of Nazlet el-Samman, which is located right next to the great pyramid, why is there a supposed tunnel/causeway extended beyond that by a few kilometers to El Haranneya ? It makes no sense at all. This village is far from the GP.

A previous "illegal dig" by a resident of Nazlet el-Samman purported to have found the same tunnel leading to the great pyramid, but this is in a totally different direction. But at least it is closer to the GP and somewhat more credible. And also, in that case photographs were available of the illegal dig and the subsequent demolition of the house, and what appears to be a cover-up. You can view the demolition site at 29°58'35.16"N 31° 8'20.22"E.

May I venture to suggest that the story lacks credibility?

That would be 7 million 662 thousand tons of bombs dropped on the people and property of Vietnam. 2 and half times as many bombs as were dropped by all the 'sides' in WW2 were dropped by the U.S. on this tiny sliver of a country. Ceaser would take notes at the ruthlessness of the undertaking.

Could you please elaborate your statement, I do not mean to offend you, I'm just a Templaridiot (a believer in non orthodox history of the Knights) and I searching all information pertaining to the group. Although I do not believe the Ark is in France it is clear that Hughes de Payens and 4 of the Knights that made it to Troyes in 1128 had documents that requires the help of the local Rabbis. The were the stepsons of Rachi de Troyes who had passed away in 1105 but he was well known of St Bernard and Etienne Harding whom he had helped in the past. Two of the Knights remained in Jerusalem and two of them went to Rome before arriving in Troyes few weeks later. It seems the documents they brought back must have been important because the Pope (a Benedictin) Honorius II send his legat to Troyes. And almost unknown fact he didn't trust Benedictine monks and preferred Cistercian. Oddly enough the Abbey of Clairvaux is now a notorious prison for hard core criminals and should return to it's original name the Val d'Absinthe. I wonder what happen the Clairvaux Library?

Holy ships is a common mytheme in many cultures. Read for instant this article – http://quintessentialpublications.com/twyman/?page_id=22 and in my opinion one cannot understand the Flood Myth unless knowing of the Milky Way Mythology.

The Milky Way is culturally named as “a river in heaven” because its crescent whitish contour runs around the Earth. This myth is misunderstood for a historical flodd running ON the Earth instead of a mytho-cosmological river running OVER and around the Earth.

This mytheme is a part of the ancient cultural Stories of Creation which is very closely connected to the Milky Way. That is: The Noah Ark is a heavenly ship and “all the animals” represents the zodiac and other animal images in the Sky. The “Ararat Mount” is an allegory of the “Earth world axis” or “world mountain”.

Empire Builders usually behave like this. Consider the North American builders: first they eradicate the Natives on the continent and then for example, their 'Korean Police Action' of the early 1950's lead to millions of Koreans being killed and then later another example being the Vietnam War where 3 million Vietnamese were killed. 7 million tons of bombs was dropped on Vietnam by our illustrious Ceasers.

  • Reply to: Scientists Believe they Have Found the Origins of the Unique Basque Culture   8 years 4 months ago

It is most ocmmon surname in Peninsular Spain... I woudl not go making assumptions on its origin. Treviño is located south of the Basque country. Before anyone starts its administrative status is of no relevance, I am meaning geographical position.

Basque were small Land owners and lived in family groups, that were commonly isolated even from each other.

In fact there was no "single" basque language, that is XIX century built, different dilaects were spoken ass per regions or even valleys, such was the isolation of the people in there,To the extent that distant comunities had difficulties to understad each other dialect. Stil today, a Euskaldunberri (native Basque speaker) will need to make and effort to be understood by an Euskaldunsarra (Which has learned the "batua" or "unified" versión of the Basque language developped since XIX cent.).

And all this is a región quite small.

No big mistery in the Basque isolation, it was a way of making thier living, isolated and tied to the land they lived from. It was not very rich región, and people were stubborn, and mostly minded their own bussiness, so no one cared much (well, there WAS a roman harbor close to Bilbao, but...) until the brits found out they could ship cheap coal from the Basque country to fuel their Steel industry and could bring back cheap ores for the Basque one, a perfect bussiness, that helped develop a burgeois capitalistic class and the main cities.
