Check out the web entries for Kenneth Arnold UFO sighting . It happened here and it is still happening. I suspect it was the model for Spielbergs Close Encouters.

From research I have done, I am thinking that some of the populations of the world spread from the central point of Atlantis. So many have so much in common and not just ordinary things, but stories, belief and language. Atlantis also had many colonies around the world.

In your reply to my post you make a number of statements for which there is no proof at all. The concept of shaman and the concept of religious elites guarding secrets to maintain a grip on the "ignorant" populace is , of course, very popular amongst academics who themselves imagine they are an elite. But there is some trueh missing from these concepts, as you will have noticed how much we, as others, communicate with each other. No practical knowledge of this at all has ever been kept secret from populations, since if there were elites then and there as you claim, they are entirely and wholly dependant for sustenance and defence etc on the population as a whole, whom historically they have always helped and guided in these ways, unless as Galileo and Copernicus they were shut up , not to preserve secrecy, but to save face.

No, a religious elite exists and guards secrets of a spiritual nature, and these shamans, guides etcetera have always existed outside of buildings and any organized religions and worship, so that even the concept of Stonehenge being a construction for the benefit of initiates, druids or shamans is ridiculous, laughable. Additionally all the holes and markers you have researched so well, and with such commitment very probably had some part in the way that Stonehenge was built. Just as builders leave measuring marks now. What I noticed years later again trying to read Le Mesuriers (clue?) book on Gizeh was how he was consistently taking mere coincidence between unrelated measurements in unrelated fields, and even dimensions of time and space, to be significant, and to have meaning, where it all really only smoke and mirrors, like poetry and philosophy and religious "doctrines" are.

    Hi Veronica-Mae,

George Smith had access to the transcriptions and translations from the Behistun Inscription which was written in Old Persian, Elamite and Babylonian. This 15 metre high rock engraving was to cuneiform what the Rosetta Stone was to Egyptian hieroglyphs.

Interesting to read that bullets from slingshots could go further than an arrow - and that they went 200metres. I am unfamiliar with the potential of the bows used by the Romans - and their adversaries - but in later years 220 yards was the statutory practice distance for the longbow, and reproductions of the war bow today regularly reach 300 yards.
Incidentally whistling arrows have also been used in the past to worry the enemy troops. presumably because a silent arrow does not concern you, for you do not know it is on its way.

Indeed, much evidence accumulating to suggest Old & New Worlds had very ancient oceanic links. However, one aspect bothers me. The native populations of the Americas were ravaged & near-obliterated by diseases brought by Columbus & his successors. That seems uncontroversial. But if so, how so, if the locals of the Americas had been exposed to these diseases for so long, via contacts with previous carriers from the Old World? Would not immunities have appeared? Why would the arrivals of the Columbus-age visitors have proved so particularly lethal?

I don't have proof, but I think a picture is beginning to form of an ancient global power grid involving megalithic structures such as these.
There are a large number of stone circles in S.Africa that exhibit very powerful electromagnetic phenomenon. Michael Tellinger describes it very well in this video:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyWplRoVAcc
Just be sure to tune out when he starts talking about running for president of SA. The discussion becomes tedious and veers away from the topic at that point.
Also, there has been some good information come out that posits the idea that Gobleki Tepe is a serious of telluric power generators.Additionally, there is evidence that the system of ley lines is a global phenomenon as well. It could all be part of the same system.

Everything you said made sense until you started talking about recycling energy (as to say reincarnation) you make absolutely no sense there. It's like a contradiction. Energy is real, but once you die, you're dead. Simple as that. If you believe the Sumerian story, clearly, you were not created by "energy" you were created by the mixing of Blood (DNA) and the Ape, so what makes you think you are going to be reincarnated? That is just some false hope like The Christian believes there's a place in the sky to them to go after death. See the likeness? When you die, you're just dead. Energy is real, but it is not how you're trying to make it. Energy is inside of my phone......

Yes, this is worth a look: it is William Cooper's translation of one of the Bruts, that is to say, one of the Welsh translations of Geoffrey of Monmouth's History of the Kings of Britain, the book which developed the earlier and much simpler story of Brutus, as given in Nennius. Cooper wished to believe that, through Brutus, the British (and thus Americans like himself, who were of British descent) were descended from the family of Jacob - the origins of this peculiar myth are explained in my book "Brutus of Troy". Cooper therefore wished to believe that, far from being translations of Geoffrey, the Bruts were recordings of ancient Welsh traditions and that, ultimately, they were based on true events. This is not, however, the case, as my book demonstrates.

And in my opinion islam is a kind of 'socialism avant la lettre' from the Arabian 'have nots' against the - supposed - 'arrogance' of the jewish and christian, 'decadent' 'haves'... This fight was fought with extreme violence and terror - and thus in fact totally immoral.
But today we have democracy, human rights, devolopement aid and more so islam now as well is TOTALLY obsolete and unnecessary.....

Great article! And although the writer could be wrong on some details, the general idea behind this article is absolutely right: to understand judaism, christianity, islam and other religions you have to go back into history. Most concepts of christianity and other contemporary religions stem from animism/sjamanism and (ever since the agrarical revolution) the concept of the 'Hieros Gamos' - the marriage between the male 'god' of heaven and the female 'goddess' of earth. The Egyptian pharao Akhenaten and later the Jews kicked out the female 'goddess' and after that only the male heaven 'god' remained in monotheist religions.
I believe that (St.) Paul and the writers of the gospels put the words of different Jewish prophets and Greek and Roman philosophers in the mouth of the mythical 'Jesus' and turned it into a good 'selling' tearjerker.
There are/is no 'gods'/'God': there's only the universe and a lot of energy in it!
This is the 21st century and we have SCIENCE!!! Eat that!!!

This is "a" king David..not "the king David."

First of all, tomb robbing did NOT begin with the Tanis pharoahs, that is more very weak research by Ellis, the "biblical archaeologist." It is recorded that the tomb of a 1790 BC "Moses" king was robbed, and the thieves caught, confessed, and their captors paid in gold. Futhermore, "king David" is a composite of more than one king. And "Solomon" is the "god of the city" of Urusalem, where Amenhotep III sat on the throne, accepting "Shalmani gifts" from vassals and subjects...and a wall carving of himself worshiping himself as Shalmanu...plus this: "Akhenaton" is a fake: that is Yuya wearing a mask: the real "Akhenaton" was the dwarf Surya/Nebuchadnezzer....Surya is depicted wearing a HARP.

THAT is another "King David" and you can see his image in new book called "The Lost Kingdoms of Southeast Asia: Hindu and Buddhist iconography." Look for "Surya" then close book, and go look for him in image with Yuya posing as Akhenaton, with Surya/Nephukhudurriya/Nebuchadnezzer, sitting next to his beautiful mother, nude, Ganges to Yuya's left, behind him.....it is an EGYPTIAN icon... Surya is called SuryATANjuri: the many-armed Surya...The Aten!

Wake up: Yuya murdered the entire royal family, then placed imposters that Darius properly assassinated when he found them.

Every time I read an article or tv show about Atlantis it makes me want to cry...and laugh. Atlantis is right where Plato says it was. The tops of the mountains of this continent were the Azores, on the northern shore. So just rent a submarine and look for ruins south of the Azores...probably not too far south because the ancients liked to build their pyramids and installations on a high plain. YOU WILL FIND IT.

Also why the South American civilizations were so terrified of the possablity of the sun not rising normally, that they had many ceramonies to ensure the Sun did so. I have heard that this was also based upon a cosmic catastrophy involving the universe 's acquiring Venus from its status as a comet to that of a world. (as in Worlds in Collision). And today, many of us belive the reason for the Mayan calander ending where it did, not just the mark of the end of an age, but the passage of the Sumerian planet of Marduk and its dwarf star.

Gnostic asumptions? I haven't read anything in the past that said that Paul was a Roman soldier and spurned llover, though it might make sense. The disciples also said that Christ walked the earth earilier, and in the Garden of Eden. With study of the Bible, it can be concluded that the old testament name of Yashua was that of the Archangle Michael, due to the prophesies and titles , including Lord of the Heavenly Host, and Prince of Israel.

One thought that came to my mind reading this was Christ's warning to beware of false prophets, as Many would come in his name, and to also question them, and even the Angels (messangers).

The Christ is not a reincarnated spirit but a resurrected one, and that is one of the tests... reincarnation is considered as one of the doctrines of the Devil.

  • Reply to: The Truth Behind the Christ Myth: Ancient Origins of the Often Used Legend – Part I   7 years 10 months ago

The legends are interesting, and give us some light on what our ancesters thought, as it was a major part of their life. But the Green man represented the seasons, and was a part of the cosmetology, what we today call paganism, Worship of the created over the creator, human sacrifices, and bowing down to totems and idols, and comparing the 'Gods' with astrological bodies and even animals.

Not something the Hebrews and later Christians were supposed to embrace, though the Roman Church and others did anyway. Jesus was not born on the 25, much less even in the month of Decemer. Jesus did not 'grow up' to be come one with the Father in Heaven, he was one with him as a child. Jesus's sacrifice was indeed to atone for the sins of mankind, but he and the Judio-Christian religion teach that those who accept him and his sacrifice are not reincarnated, but resurrected, and physically changed at that time.

I believe the Gods of old legends were real, but that they are what we would call 'Devils' and Demons (spirits) today. The fallen ones of old that led humans astray and today seek their downfall.
