The Altiplano, or High Plains area of the Andes is, indeed, an inhospitable place for most human beings. At an average elevation of over 12,000 feet above sea level, the air is thin and the air temperatures are cold with wide variances between nighttime and daytime. The Uros people like to say that they have “black blood” due to their resistance to the cold, and do claim to be direct decendants of the ancient Uros.
With the results of testing by the Genographic Project, I see no reason why, with further study, results could not be obtained to either confirm or deny their claims. We have the technology and the ability to use it to possibly establish a link between a modern day group and it’s ancient ancestors.
No matter what the results of further testing may be, we must still deal with the ugly spectre of racism in one of it’s many forms. I am anxious to see the results of further testing.
The Northern Kingdom was smashed into oblivion by the Assyrians after being warned time and time again to execute justice, care for widows and orphans, obey the laws set forth and stop worshiping idols. Their priests became a bunch of jackels and their leaders corrupt thieves. Everyone was out for gain. Justice was gone in the land.
Even Ahab was give a few extra chances to repent but he could not and in the end he and his family perished. Now placing your 20th century values into an ancient near eastern culture will never work. The lessons are lost in you.
This part of the earth may well be the origin of all civilization of the Old World. Near ancient Urfa and Harran lies Gobekli Tepe!
Recommendation: Wonderful blog post about Sogmatar (http://unchartedruins.blogspot.de/2012/08/the-hall-of-records-temple-of-...) which lies also nearby with awe-inspiring photos
You stated "visited America before Christopher Columbus.". Just a note, Columbus NEVER stepped foot on any of the Americas. Closest he came was the Bahamas.
The wild hunt is also known in France, under different names, like "Mesnie Hellequin", "chasse fantastique", "chasse Artus", etc. Its origins are germanic for some authors, celtics for other (an avatar of Cernunnos).
Women have always been more mobile than men. To avoid issues of inbreeding, women have always moved from their parent's place to live with their husbands - often moving over large distances. Men usually stayed put to farm their ancestral lands or hunt in area well known to them. Women moved and took their mobile wealth (jewellery, tents, carpets etc) with them.
The other reason why female DNA travels more is 'war'. In ancient times, women were often 'taken' as war booty. Men were killed off, but women were taken away and sold as slaves or used for pleasure by the victors. This resulted in women ending up in far flung corners of the world, spreading their DNA wider than otherwise anticipated.
Another part of the article talked about women being guardians of culture. I have found this be the case even when the women end up in a foreign world. Women have propagated the culture by keeping alive mythologies, retelling folklore, passing on ancient recipes, honouring family deities, weaving and wearing ancestral clothes, holding on to heirlooms, following customs, celebrating festivals and speaking the 'mother' tongue. Interestingly enough, women, when they enter a new culture, seem to take over the mantel of 'guardians' of the new culture. Even as slaves, they take on the language and customs of their 'master's' nation and teach their children the new culture. As wives this is even more so and they often want to stick to 'tradition' more than their husbands.
We can see evidence of this all around us. Observe any new migrant community and you will see that the men will have adopted the clothes, language and mannerisms of the host community, but the women will hold onto their traditional clothes, foods and language the longest. I hope these observations are of interest to other readers of this article.
"Uhh yeah, I think it was aliens, but satellites totally exist, brah."
Nothing on the periodic table can survive the thermosphere and you look like an ignorant follower of (((Zecharia Sitchin))) with all that talk of aliens. If you try looking for images of satellites, only artist impressions show up. Look more into ancient Aryans, not aliens.
Hello Bob, I'm not sure how languages enter into the equation? Frank Waters said in 1960 that the tablet was a dull gray marble and very heavy. in 1935 Mischa Titiev in his book "Old Oraibi" described it as greyish-white with red irregular dots. I read that the stone of Scone is sandstone.
In Nancy Yaw Davis's book "The Zuni Enigma" she reports that the Zuni people can understand Japanese and the Japanese can understand Zuni. Just a thought.
Hello Derek, I don't think the lines are straighter. The Elder did the best he could but it was just a replica. Sorry for the slow response. I was having trouble with my sign on.
All the best. tom
I was being facetious with that remark, and could as well have said Japanese (Hai) and Hopi (ai) are related. That has the added benefit of matching up with the Hopi traveling East to reach the west coast of America - and probably provides a closer genetic match as well.
Sitting at a desk in the USA (with I suspect Feminist colored views), pronouncing judgment upon people 2800 years after the fact in the height of ethnocentrism. In reality, your long winded defense of the woman is replete with unsupported speculations used to do nothing more than vent your theophobic assumptions.
Linguistically, the Hopi language is related to Gaelic - Ex: Ai and Aye for the word yes. I'm pretty sure the missing corner of the Hopi tablet will find it's match in the Stone of Scone. Ridiculous? Far fetched?
No more than the unsupported assertions in this article.
Sorry but that's fiction. And Neanderthals never existed. Just humans. Evolutionists see what they want to see and call an elderly man's bones some kind of prehuman in order to prop up their myth of evolution. This writer has intentionally misinterpreted the historical evidence and ignored the physical evidence of giants being real. Even in America's early history explorers wrote of encountering giants and sometimes having to fight and kill them. Every ancient culture references them and they're nearly always universally feared as monsters and cannibals. But the giants referenced in Genesis would have dwarfed the giants that our not so long ago ancestors would have fought. The more recent giants would have been between 7-10 feet tall whereas the Genesis giants are described (in the book of Enoch)as being 3000 ells. Although we have no idea how big an ell is, just for laughs, 3000 mm = 10 feet. 3000 inches = 250 feet. So probably somewhere in between. Two 36 feet long skeletons were found by Carthaginians somewhere between 200-600 B.C. in Turkey. Giants were real.
I am an expat living in Nicaragua, and due to my own experiences in the rainforests, I am acutely aware of just how difficult it is to explore these areas. Unless you have personally experienced the tropical rainforests of the Americas, it is hard to actually understand the difficulties and dangers associated with expeditions of ths type.
There is an assortment of poisonous snakes and insects which have highly toxic venoms which can lead to excruciating pain, and even death if not treated quickly and correctly. Then there are the tropical diseases which are present in rainforest areas, of which Leishmaniasis is one. A parasitic infection transmitted through the bites of infected sand fleas, Leshmaniasis poses a serious health risk, and is endemic in Nicaragua.
Undoubtedly, there are many undiscovered remnants of ancient cultures to be discovered in tropical America, some of which may reveal secrets that could change the history of the region as we know it.
However, along with great discoveries, there is sometimes great risk, and this is precisely why the true adventurers are willing to risk it all in their quest for knowledge. If it were not for these courageous men and women, many, if not most of our great archaeological discoveries would have never been made.
To the discoverers of the City of the Monkey God, my hat is off to you. Bravo!

In Lord of the Rings, Strider as Aragon leads an army of ghosts to help Gondor :)
Similar in spirit and lore as described in the article above.

Hi Thomas,
What’s the best way to contact you?

Wow, to hear you tell the story, the woman was practically a saint, destined for canonization, really just a victim of a huge misunderstanding.
Those were some serious theological gymnastics you did there to arrive at your many conclusions.

They are related….but they are not the same.
There is a distinct difference between then, but they are from the same source.
I can explain better in a telephone call,….
One question….how accurate are the replica tablets? Are the lines straighter in the original tablet?
