Thanks for expanding on the story of the gentleman who accidentally defaced the rock-art with his climbing bolts. I also agree that the deliberate defacing of the rock-art does have a lot to do with the conflict over land-use in that part of the country. As to your last sentence; there are so many people who are not Using their intellegence. They “educate” themselves with mis-information out of some un-balanced emotional need. As to the Defacers of the art, they don’t want to use their intellegence nor any form of understanding or compassion. For them it’s just too much “fun” being vicious.

In his very limited defense, the guy who inserted the climbing bolts went to the nearest ranger station and turned himself in as soon as he realized what he had done.   He didn’t cause further damage by trying to yank them out to cover his crimes.

Another important factor, at least in the western US, is the vitriolic politics of land use.  It is one of the driving energies of the area.  The region is divided into small parcels of federal, tribal, and private land.  All have competing interests and the antognism runs deep.  Long running resentments in Utah have been stoked recently by the ongoing Bear’s Ears monument debacle.

And also, not only are people getting dumber, they think they are getting smarter.  It is a dangerous mix.

This Vandalism is really more that the result simple ignorance. The native american rock art existed undisturbed even during the time where the decendants of the original creators of said art were being killed & corralled as a consequence of ‘manifest destiny’.  If this vandalism is very recent then it's a result of followers of the previous ‘pontus' doing thier bit on behalf of the so-called 'cutlure wars’.  “Fighting back" agianst the BLM & other Movements that benefit the various people of color.  These are acts of thuggish-’low brow’ white supremacy

    Hi All,

Coming off an intense Forum Discussion regarding The Giant's Footprints this certainly sounds reasonable. You know I went on ytube an watched a 30 minute documentary about Native American's and Bible Prophecy.

A pastor interviewed An Indigenous Man Chief Joseph WindRiver who has famously wrote The Book That's What The Old One's Said it's available on Amazon. Getting back to Chief Joseph's interview; He mentioned that the Giant's of The World and in America were responsible for the building of The Pyramid's and other Ancient Engineering Wonder's.

From the title of this latest Book involving Giant's and Stonehenge just got proven right. Anyways thank you for the information regarding This New Study Book on those pesky Giant's that built Stonehenge it'll be a while before I get the money to buy this awesome Book.

    Until next time, Everyone, Goodbye!

If the study is correct it would be a major blow to the general view that our livestyle is so dangerous (all those chemicals, too much meat etc.).

I especially like that the article makes the caveat that the study group was still rather small.

First off The Sumerians were not Semites. The Akkadians were Semites. Gilgamesh has some political aspects to it and was written most likely during the reign of Naram Sin. There are no references to Gilgamesh in the Ebla texts who traded with Sumeria (3000 BCE) so the story is newer than that. Three Bible stories (creation, flood, Babel) appear to come from the Enuma Elish. Both these texts were re-written by the Assyrians and the Bible is based upon the Assyrian version of Babylonian texts. They were not copied directly and most likely based on orally told stories. The tree of life and knowledge were the same. In Sumeria, it was once a fir tree indicating a mountainous origin. Later a date palm. In Akkadia it was the cedar tree used as incense in many sacred rituals. The Sargon birth narrative which was similar to Moses was carved on a stele in Assyria and readily available to the captives.

Yes, that seems to be universally accepted these days.

Initially the Neanderthals left Africa and populated Europe and beyond. Some time later, modern humans left Africa and occasionally interbred with the Neanderthals they encountered, eventually replacing them entirely.

All humans have remnants of this interbreeding, aside from those Africans that stayed in Africa. Interestingly, there was some further interbreeding with a third group called the Denisovans, which shows up in the DNA of some asian/melanesian groups.

It’s all quite fascinating. Turns out there were quite a few different “breeds” of humans initially… us, Neanderthals, Denisovans, plus a couple more types in Indonesia. No doubt more will be discovered. We’re all quite closely related too, close enough such that interbreeding was possible.

Have you ever found a stone which has been water-worn to the extent that it could be termed a quernstone or utilisable as a quernstone, I haven;t.

You might not be far off.  The Norse/Germanic Tree of Life, Yggdrassil was described somewhat like that (hence the Rainbow bridge that traverses it).  I always likened that to the Chakaras of Indian belief.  Perhaps its an older PIE belief than we realize?

No mention of where the raw stone is from. If I wanted a quernstone, I'd look for a rock with a water-worn hole already. Orkney lacks rivers, but does have plenty of sea-pounded rock along the coast.

Does anybody have an idea as to how the quernstone shape was created?
Please don't tell me that is was ground with another stone.

The “red lady of Paviland” remains found nearly 200 years ago in Wales date from the same period. And the Irish Sea was dry at that time. So there were modern humans all over the area.

It is completely logical to understand that our creator made humans to be vegans. Our anatomy shows what we were designed to consume, plants, fruits and nuts. We lack any carnivore or omnivore anatomy. And our digestive system is not designed to eat the dead bodies of animals. That is why we had to cook them—to make them easier to chew, and why we cannot consume rancid meat without throwing up. True carnivore and omnivore animals can make their own vitamin C and eat rancid meat without cooking it. When humans eat animals it forms ammonia and sulfur in our body and putrefies, not coming out of us for several days (pew). There was an abundance of healthy minerals and vitamin B12 for many years. B12 is produced by bacteria in the soil and is naturally found on plants and in the water. THIS is where animals get it. In our sanitized world we have eliminated the natural B12 in most places. Blame it on modern society. There are many healthy vegans proving that the human need for meat is an illusion and an addiction. Myriad of spear tips would logically indicate humans who could have used weapons to protect against other tribes or against animals, Yes they could have been used against animals to eat them. Ancient humans ate plants, and likely scavenged the remains of other animals killed. They were in a SURVIVAL situation. Humans are not biological omnivores, no matter how much we stuff dead bodies into our bodies. The sad thing is that we take in the suffering and death of the animals when we eat them. The reason many biblical ancient humans did not eat animals is out of respect for their lives and the creator who made all of us. Peace..

    Hi All,

This is an excellent article I hadn't notice the Church studying Astronomy especially since Galileo angered the Mother Church at the time Roman Catholic. I do think that the churches interest about Astronomy is because of Their Bible an other Sacred Text that they later tossed aside.

Not too mention the Soul basis of Christendom is to be Watchful of The Second Coming Christ that's basically what Christians in Theory are to Watch for is The Second Coming.
