The following is copied from Amazon's description of the book; " Leading genealogist Anthony Adolph traces Brutus's story from Roman times onwards, charting his immense popularity and subsequent fall from grace, along with his lasting legacy in fiction, pseudo-history and the arcane mythology surrounding some of London's best-known landmarks, in this groundbreaking biography of the mythological founder of Britain.

    REVIEWS

On his last book, In Search of Our Ancient Ancestors, Anthony Adolph gave us a long view of genealogy, exploring the pedigree of the human race, and the British in particular, since primeval times. This book is a sequel in a sense, but now moves away from what science and history have told us into more mythological territory, to explore what might be described as the ‘psychological ancestry’ of the British. "

It could be interesting, if i can get a free Kindle version of it.

Any underwater civilization in Cuba, the St. Croix Basin, or elsewhere in the Caribbean would have to be very old, probably many millions of years old. As such, it would not be a human civilization since it would have existed before the origin of modern humans. This is necessary if we accept the current views of modern science on human origins. Of course, there is the possibility that they may be incorrect.

My work puts the date for civilization in Mexico at between 66 to 100 million years in the past and very much older for elsewhere in the world. See my black2tell blog. Mr. Black

Surely you don't expect anyone to believe other factions of the church, or the church hierarchy are blameless in history? When they had their own armies, they were intolerant and wicked. The armies are gone today, but the human nature remains, they're still wicked. And what's with the name calling, are you an undisciplined juvenile?

That type of church is same, language dont matter, language barrier to man only, not the church. So if or since one is damaged by hypocracy, whole unity of it is damaged.

Last week I finished reading Anthony Adolph’s “Brutus of Troy.” This was an extremely well researched publication focusing on the creation of Brutus and tracing his descendents to today’s royal family of Britain.

The Vikings inhabited Greenland for quite some time-
    Technically speaking,
Greenland is less than 20 miles from Canada,
    at their closest point.

Greenland IS part of North America.

    Columbus did not discover "AMERICA",
for America the country did not exist yet.

He was the first European ACKNOWLEDGED
to have arrived in the continent that is
    NOW
    called North America.

The Vikings lived in Greenland for CENTURIES.

They were leaving Greenland and moving Eastward about the time Columbus was arriving.

It is obvious that they were active in Canada-
    Greenland,Canada,
Columbus' spot in the Bahamas and
    Greenland are
    ALL part of North America.

The funniest thing is that it is widely accepted
that the first explorers of Greenland were the aboriginal people from what is now called Canada.

    So,
you could just as well say that
    "Canadians" discovered Greenland before
    the "Europeans" did....

One of the silliest "and saddest" ones is about Peary being the
"First Man to the North Pole".

    If anything,his black assistant,
    Matthew Henson,
probably got there before he did.

Peary stole his journals and wouldn't give them back for 10 years or so.

    Henson took the higher ground,though,
and never stooped to his level.

    There are many such stories,
    good and bad,
    about discovery.

I don't know how old you are but you are quite wrong about UFOs and hoaxters&huxters.

V.D. has sold over 65 million books-
most of those in times past.

The UFO phenomenon has had cults and obsessed fans from the beginning.

At the time that book was written,
anyone wanting to write sensationalistic material
and fleece the UFO crowds not only had lots of easy pickings-
    they had lots of competition.

In the 60's and 70's ANYTHING was possible-
    part of society mocked,
    part of society was fascinated....
    and very gullible and vulnerable.

    They still are.

The questions and issues he examines are genuine but his integrity and methods are far from spotless.

He HAS embellished and distorted his findings and misadventures many times and has plagiarized other people's work numerous times.

I have been studying these subjects for some
    50 years now-
it is just as dangerous to be blindly for
    people and their points
as it is to be blindly against them.

Anyone who reads his work needs to not be naive and should read it with more
    than a grain of salt.

He is just like the producer of ancient aliens-
    George.

George was quite tame on his last show-
    it failed.

    So,
he went all-out hollywood with orange skin and crazy hair.

He has been QUITE successful this time.

    Yet,
It is the same with Crespi-
    was he fallible?

    Yes.

    Look at his work overall,
    regardless of his affiliations.

He worked hard for others while pursuing his passions-
was he really just a scam artist working for the evil empire?

    You decide-
but don't jump to conclusions on account of
    blind prejudices,for OR against,
    regardless.

Anyone wondering where the idea originated that Silbury Hill was a place for burial of “souls” as distinct from bodies could do worse than read this article from the UK’s Independent newspaper that appeared over 8 years ago:

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/the-souls-of-silbury-hill...

    It has this fascinating quote:

"The new information we are obtaining from inside Silbury Hill is transforming our understanding of the site," said the English Heritage archaeologist Jim Leary, who led the three- year investigation. "The discovery of sarsen stones inside the final phase of the monument has also been a surprise. Given the almost certainly religious and ceremonial nature of Silbury, it is likely that these stones had some symbolic importance, potentially representing the spirits of dead ancestors."

Why did you leave that out of your 2010 book, Jim? That suggestion of yours is pure gold dust, proposing as it does a symbolic role (at least) for those scores of sarsen stones inside trhe mound that have been compared with “raisins in a cake.”

Personally, I consider the sarsens had more than symbolic significance, since each was initially on the OUTSIDE of the mound as it grew in size for a century or so some 4,500 years ago.

Here’s my suggestion, posted just yesterday, for the REAL PURPOSE of those sarsen stones.

    https://sussingstonehenge.wordpress.com/2016/04/12/new-silbury-soul-rele...

Symbolic of a soul? Nope – a  protective marker for an interment, but not of the entire body of the deceased.

Adam and Eve - the "first modern humans". Wow, that does make sense, when you put it all in that context. In the Old Testament there is a line that I never really understood who it is that God would be talking to....(although most of the Bible, for that matter, is quite confusing anyway). The line is from Genesis 1:26-27 - "God said, Let Us make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness,".......then in 27 it says "So God created man in HIS OWN image; in HIS likeness God created man".

Ok, so who is God talking to when He says let "us" create man in OUR image, then goes on to say in HIS OWN image God created man. Like there were other options available, with other potential images and likenesses to choose from. Then the decision was made by God to choose His own image.

I've questioned assorted clergymen on those verses and the best they could come up with is He (God) was talking to the Trinity (Himself, The Son, and The Holy Spirit).

Anyhoo, that Adam and Eve theory really opens up the possibility (for me) to somehow integrate the Bible with other unproven beliefs (aliens) that myself and others have.

Malcolm Barber's book,”The Trial of the Templars” is an excellent source to give further background to the climatic episode recounted in this article.  Barber’s account of the Grand Master Jacques de Molay's sentencing by the cardinals Nicolas de Freauville, Arnaud d'Auch and Arnaud Nouvel is rather terse in telling a rather dramatic devent and understates the malice undergirding Philip's questionable intervention that hurried and legally muddied de Molay's execution together with the Master of Normandy, Georffroi de Charney by the prevot of Paris on the Ile-des-Javiaux.

What the archaeologist should have said is that the key here is to entirely excavate the stone. If the stone is entirely spherical (at present only one half is visible) then we have a reasonable hypothesis that the stone was worked by hand. If the stone is not entirely spherical then the question becomes entirely open.

A couple of local Living History Groups have joined forces to organize "The New Spain Project" in and near the Las Vegas and Southern Nevada area. Accepted history tells us that the Spanish weren't even here until about 1829, when the name "Las Vegas" was given to this area.
With all the vast riches and evidence of mining far earlier than 1829, we believe it may be probable that the historical clock needs to be turned back about 300 years to the Coronado time frame and the "Search for Cibola".
Any suggestions, interest and help you can steer us toward would be appreciated. One of our first tasks under development is putting a company of Spanish Armored Infantry on the Old Spanish Trail to get a feel of what it was like to travel with Coronado or Diaz or others in this time. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10205975889940721&set=a.1020...
