@mannersman: To a non-believer, a phrase such as “May God reward you with good” does not elicit any more goodwill or communicate deeper sentiment than “Thank You”, because it means “May nobody reward you”, just as how saying “I will pray for you” means “I will do nothing for you”.
This is inconclusive. We cannot tell the difference between a human kill and one where early humans used their weapons and numbers to intimidate a lone predator off a fresh kill. Call it scavenging with menaces.
Hello, years ago one commentator has pointed out fittingly it resembles Platos fifth element as dodecahedron, St Hildegardis Bingensis called it also 5 th element Sonuisti (sonic) and the Music of the Sphere that Adam already knew, it is known in Sanskrit as the sound element, the fifth element and discussed recently in detail in many books, from the Indian side remarkably in Yogeshwaranadas books.( mail me for details or see links below))
My own research with helpful links is in archaeomusic
This would hint that it was used as a kind of philosophical virtual piano keyboard 8000 years ago and before, that is as the principles only to design such things as the dodecacagon and so on. 12 fifths (pentagon, quints) are made up in the mind as the music which is the transcendental universe above as well as the world below, sanskrit Anahat and ahat sound….
Archaeologist, it’s presented as a possibility, not claimed as fact. All these old buildings have their legends and as an individual Leonardo tends to have many legendary attributions. Anyway, Leonardo died in 1519, the year the castle was commissioned to be built, in the few years before his death he could have been involved in its design in many ways, he worked for Francis I, and lived in a grace and favor estate of Francis’ about 30 miles away until his death, so it’s possible, although the design is French Renaissance. But that’s the stuff that legends are made of – it would be interesting to know when this attribution was made. If documented close to his time it would tend to validate it, and much such provenance exists centuries later for many projects but if such documents existed for this construction they surely would be presented and featured.
Anyway, for those that like this sort of thing, you can do a Google Streetview of the castle, both its interior and surroundings including many views of the staircases.
Thunderbolts of the gods seem to be a reaccuring theme of many ancient cultures. Hand held, and returning to it's owner. I can't help but notice the similarities of today's laser weapons. Ancient descriptions are as confusing as Enoch's description of wheels within wheels. But clearly there were very advanced scientific ancients. Much useful and terrifying technology has been gained and lost many times over.
I believe these devices are for ‘massage’ therapy. 1st. thats why we find so many of them. 2nd massage therapists have similar devices & hand them out as ‘freebies’.
Sounds just as much a 'Celtic/Brythonic' settlement as 'Roman' to me. 30 Round Houses is substantial indeed. But then again we're invisible, don't exist do we. Everyone else gets a name, Romans, Anglo-Saxons, Vikings, but we're just an amorphous 'Age' even though coterminous with some of these.
Hello, nice article! The photo for “la Finestraccia” is not the correct one. The photo you used is actually of one of the sculptures in the nearby Parco dei Mostri in Bomarzo (the “Giove Ammone”). Several other websites also (erroneously) use this same photo.
Google images (using terms “la Finestraccia bomarzo”) will pull up some correct images of the tomb/rock dwelling known as “la Finestraccia”.
Such ignorance and selfishness. They were probably as high as kites too.
A few years ago we had vandals push over one of the giant rocks at Brimham in North Yorkshire, England. They somehow got it over a cliff where it smashed, damaging other rocks below. All that area is ancient.
All they do is cause authorities to clamp down and ban people from these places, ruining it for the majority who know how to respect the natural environment.

And Rollo's descendant of course, William the Conqueror who conquered England battle of Hastings 1066. Built castles, gave names and counted people.
I'm commenting to get more coins. These sites are fascinating
This looks very convincing. The cut marks indicate early hunting, but more research needs to be done.

This story appears to be clickbait. Not much about the future in the article.

Where’s the proof for this hypothosis? Without proof, it’s all just supposition.

There customs are almost identical to the Dogon...
Shame, I kinda liked the CME theory. The image of a fireball from the sun roasting Harrapa could morph into the Bible’s story about Lot’s wife.

Another instance of ignorance in action. Real Jerks (and worse) do that kind of thing. Need to catch them and string them up by the soft parts.
The same process exists today. An individual has a great idea and it is adopted...
An alien hunting expedition makes as much sense as any other explanation...
No reason to believe they haven’t happened upon a new humanoid species or even an alien. Future DNA analysis will hopefully answer the questions.
