A Day in the Life of the Boy King Tutankhamun (Video)

Discovering the daily life of King Tutankhamun, the 11th pharaoh of the 18th Egyptian dynasty, offers a fascinating glimpse into ancient Egypt's rich history and culture. Despite ascending to the throne at just 9 years old, King Tut received a comprehensive education, learning to read and write in both hieroglyphics and cursive script. He often spent his mornings in class with his private tutors, studying mathematics, astronomy, and religious doctrine.

As a king, he had a demanding schedule, with duties including overseeing government affairs, conducting religious ceremonies, and receiving foreign dignitaries. King Tut dressed lavishly, wearing a variety of elaborate outfits made of fine linen, adorned with precious jewels and gold. Despite his opulent lifestyle, King Tut was known to be a devoted family man, spending time with his wife and two daughters. By taking a look at his daily life through the discoveries of Howard Carter in 1922 we can see the boy king lived a short but very busy life.

What has happened to this site?  This used to be my go-to site for archaeological news stories and now, it’s just “updated” older stories, some with comments that date to years ago.

Where are the new stories?  Why do you seem to be recycling old pieces?  Is it a cost problem?  This is a valuable site and you’ve rendered it quite boring.  Also, while some of your videos are good, most of them can’t replace plain, old, writing and reporting.  They’re too simplistic and frequently, childlike.

Charles and Kathydmoore you said it all! Sorry, Robbie, but your article is not what I would expect from a history graduate.

That fake photo that suppose to be King Tut as a boy looks absolutely NOTHING like his many face masks, statues, and painted wall reliefs ha ha..  I see that racist people are always trying to portray Ancient Egyptians as looking like an ARAB, and related to some of Osama Bin Laden people.. They really do need to stop this mess, because no one with a logical mindset believe in these fake photoshop images in efforts to change the Black persons image.. By the way, who in the hell is that Arab or even Hispanic looking boy in the above picture is suppose to be?  lol

Don't see how he could enjoy time with his 2 daughters since one was stillborn and the other died in the womb.
