Born and raised in Austria , Inge H. Borg left home at eighteen to study languages in London, Paris and Moscow. After working for the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck (the first ones there in 1964), she enthusiastically accepted a job transfer from Vienna to Chicago but after three years moved to Boston where she worked for the Museum of Fine Arts. It has an excellent Department of Egyptian Art – perhaps then, her subsequent fascination with Ancient Egypt was born.

In 1980, after another severe New England winter, she packed up and drove to San Diego where she knew she had found paradise, and finally become a US citizen.

Retired now, Borg lives in a quiet lake community in Arkansas where she devotes most of her time to writing historical fiction, mostly about ancient and present-day Egypt. She spent several years volunteering at the local animal shelter where she was adopted by Pasha, best cat ever (and just had to write a book about him and his shelter buddies).
