UFO Wreckage? Ancient Metal Object Found in Romania Has Unexplained Origins

A worked piece of aluminum which is believed to have been made 250,000 years ago is making world history news headlines. The composition and possible purpose of the object is baffling scientists and exciting UFO enthusiasts.

The artifact, also known as the object of Aiud, was discovered in Romania in 1973, but is said to have been hidden from public knowledge until recently. It was found with two other artifacts by builders working on the shores of the Mures River near the town of Aiud in central Romania.

According to the Daily Mail, the three objects were discovered 10 meters (33 feet) underground. When archaeologists arrived at the site they found that two of the pieces were large bones from a large extinct mammal that died sometime between 10,000-80,000 years ago. The third of the artifacts was a strange discovery – a piece of hand-made or manufactured metal which measures 20 cm (7.8 inches) long, 12.5 cm (4.9 inches) wide, and 7 cm (2.8 inches) thick. At that time, it was suggested that the metal object was a lightweight axe head.

Following its discovery, lab tests were conducted on the metal object in Lausanne, Switzerland. The results of those tests showed that the artifact is made of 12 metals and is 90 percent aluminum. The object also has concavities, which some sources say make it appear as if it was a part of a mechanical system.

Romanian officials have estimated its age to be about 250,000 years old, however, other experts who tested the artifact say it could be between 400 and 80,000 years old instead. But, that age range still raises eyebrows.

As Tech Times reports, humans started producing metallic aluminum only about 200 years ago. Yet, while recounting the history of aluminum, AZO Materials writes:

“Aluminium bearing compounds have been used by man from the earliest times, pottery was made from clays rich in hydrated silicate of aluminium. Ancient Middle Eastern civilisations used aluminium salts for the preparation of dyes and medicines: they are used to this day in indigestion tablets and toothpaste. At one point in history, aluminium was such a valuable commodity that rulers and the wealthy preferred impressing their guests with plates and cutlery made from aluminium rather than gold.”

Despite its long history on earth, the general belief is that metal aluminum was not discovered until the 1800s. The main reason for this is said to be because aluminum “never occurs naturally in metallic form. Aluminium is found in most rocks, clay, soil and vegetation combined with oxygen and other elements.” [via AZO Materials]

With that information in mind, researchers began to look for an explanation for the presence of the object of Aiud. Tech Times says that Romanian Ufologists Association Deputy Director Gheorghe Cohal asserts “the substances that comprise the mysterious object cannot be combined using technology that are available on Earth.” This reasoning has not been accepted by all who have taken an interest in the enigmatic object.

Thus, another explanation has been provided by historian Mihai Wittenberger. Wittenberger told the Daily Mail that the aluminum object is actually a piece of the landing gear from a Messerschmitt Me 262 (a WWII German fighter-bomber aircraft). Although it may explain the mechanical appearance of the object of Aiud, this explanation does not take the possible age of the mysterious artifact into account.

Perhaps both explanations are incorrect and the object of Aiud provides support for the hypothesis of lost prehistoric high-tech civilizations instead?

What is the real origin of this artifact? The question has yet to be fully answered. As the Inquisitr points out “after it went on display recently at the History Museum of Cluj-Napoca, museum officials placed a sign that said, “origin still unknown.”” For now, the object of Aiud is another example of an unexplained ancient mystery.

I would say the key is that the object being found near bones of a large animal, and dating could be matched to the Atlantis assault/Ice Age-causing event, circa 115k BC (adding the zero back to Plato’s timeline).  The key is that the object could easily be seen as a plow implement, one that strong, light and wouldn’t rust, being pulled by a large domesticated (draft) animal, at the very moment of the assault that wiped out the civilization, or at least put it back into the stone age, ...IF they survived it.  If they were not also buried (entombed in their caverns) by it.  Maybe there was more there, that is now hidden away, to include human bones?  One by itself in a museum can always be explained away.  But maybe it was an implement that used just one:  https://image.sciencenordic.com/1381568.jpg?imageId=1381568&panow=0&pano...

Nobody gets paid to tell the truth.

it reminds me more of the foot a set of fold-able stairs built into a door like you might see on a boat, camper or other craft. they are usually on a hinge joint like that because they fold inward when the door is closed. If the hinge broke in the closing of the door, the owners might not even notice if they were preoccupied with something else.

Yea some good points there, but if bucket loaders are being used to load soft materials they would hardly need a toothed bucket, I have worked on plant machinery and anywhere there is soft material being loaded it was usually just a flat blade bucket, However your point about it being sheathed in chrome alloy could be right but as you say without a good look at we will never know

Michael

Some bucket loaders are used in moving bulk soft ingredients like sand, diatomaceous earth and 'potting soil' or top soils. Materials engineering is a tricky art as much science - magnesium is a great flare ingredient but they make car engines out of it [got a spare for one of my husbands VWs sitting in my barn waiting for a rebuild.] I would have to see it up close and personal, it might be a component that got sheathed in chromalloy steel or an ancient form of steel like those pillars in India that are effectively stainless. Or what about copper - as a metal it is very malleable but chisels made of it were used to cut granite and basalt ... You use what you have and deal. [beaver jaw chisels on that 11 000 year old wooden sculpture ... who would think of using a beaver jaw as a tool, but that is what they had and that is what they used.

Well although the shape is about right,I don't think Aluminium wouldn't be used in bucket loaders or any other heavy equipment as it is too soft
