Entire Neanderthal genome finally mapped – with amazing results

Print

The results of an extensive analysis of a 50,000-year-old toe bone belonging to a Neanderthal woman, which was unearthed in a cave in 2010, have been long awaited. Now, after much anticipation, the findings have finally been released by the journal Nature, and they have not disappointed. For the first time ever, researchers have completely sequenced the fossil’s nuclear DNA to the same extent and quality as that of genomes sequenced from present-day people.

All around the world, news headlines shout out about incest and inbreeding and other sensationalistic statements. Sadly, they are missing the most amazing results of all.

This incredible research has revealed the following:

  • There is now conclusive evidence that Neanderthals bred with Homo sapiens – a fact disputed for many years.  Some scientists claimed the two species had never even met.
  • Ancient human species, including Neanderthals, Denisovans and Homo sapiens mated with each other, resulting in an incredibly complex family tree.
  • The Denisovans share up to 8 percent of their genome with a “super achaic” and totally unknown species that dates back around 1 million years.
  • The results conflict with the theory that modern humans arose completely from one “out of Africa” migration more than 60,000 years ago that spread worldwide without mating with other early humans.
  • About 1.5 to 2.1 percent of the DNA of all people with European ancestry can be traced to Neanderthals.
  • Proportions of Neanderthal DNA are higher among Asians and Native Americans, who also have small percentages of Denisovan DNA.
  • 6 percent of the genome of Australian Aborigines and indigenous Papua New Guineans belong to the Denisovan species.
  • The Han Chinese, native to East Asia, and the Dai people of southern China are related to both Neanderthals and Denisovans.
  • Some indigenous people from Brazil, such as the Karitiana, are not only related to both Neanderthals and Denisovans, but they show relatively high genetic contributions from the Denisovans.
  • Only 87 genes responsible for making proteins in cells are different between modern humans and Neanderthals. Intriguingly, some of the gene differences involve ones involved in both immune responses and the development of brain cells in people.
  • Somewhere within these 87 genes may lay the answer to why Neanderthals and Denisovans became extinct.
  • And least consequential of all, the Neanderthal woman’s parents were related, possibly half-siblings, or an uncle and niece. As evolutionary biologist Mattias Jakobsson stated, the incest finding “is more of an anecdote”. The results from one individual cannot be applied to an entire species, in the same way that the recent discovery of an incest family in Australia does not apply to the whole of the human race.

The study really highlights that no race of people on earth belongs to one ancestral group, rather we all have “proportions of ancestral groups," said computational biologist Rasmus Nielsen of the University of California, Berkeley. What’s more, we can begin to contemplate the fact that we are all “connected to other species - extinct smart bipeds”.

So many answers have been provided from just one study and yet so many questions remain.

I think much of what is interpretted as difference of species is very similar to differences in race. (Put a female asian skull next to an Australian aboriginal skull for instance...now replace the asian skull with a neanderthal.  So where does the sapien sapien line get drawn? They are all capable humans that can interbreed. I doubt you would have the same outcome with a Lucy even if you worked your distinquishing foreskin off)

Out of Africa is some kind of holy grail to some it seems. Why? Evidence points to a simultaneous emergence, even possibly in the Americas, at an age problematic to macro evolution anyway.

When did science become a religion of absolutes built of unproven bias rather than a study of all the evidence no matter where it points?

The dude that communicates with ancient aliens is pretty funny though.

Sitchen sounds interesting, though I have some problem with Sumerians having the words for Hybred astronaut/erectus...genetic ancestor...etc...I’d say he pulled that out of his you know what and applied some poetic license. Probably sold a fecal load of books though. If true hopefully they won’t expect brotherly love and servitude… don’t see that happening.

It is almost automatic that some will try and discredit Sitchin on this subject. His books are translated and sold in most nations including China. In fact eastern temples pretty much teach most of the tenets found in Sitchin's translations. Western religions react vehemently because it contradicts all of the propaganda they have been spouting for 2000 years.

It is also interesting the above article never mentions northern Europeans as being the offspring of Cro-Magnon man. The indians by the way call him younger brother, meaning he was created after them.

You can read Sitchin for yourself in bibliotecapleyades on the net, google it.

It clearly shows how the Annunaki used genetic implants on the cave man or yeti type creature to produce the 12 tribes. They built the pyramids, Tiahuanaco, 14,000 feet in the Andes.
….Here the clamps (to hold the stone blocks together against earthquakes) were made of bronze. That this was so is known because some of these bronze clamps have actually been found. This is certainly a discovery of immense significance, for bronze is a most difficult alloy to produce, requiring the combination of a certain proportion of copper (about 85-90%) with tin; and whereas copper can be found in its natural state, tin must be extracted by difficult metallurgical processes from the ores in which it is contained.”

Sitchin stacks up well with the Kolbrin Bible, the Mahabharata, Rigvedas, Tao, Atrahasis and many other forms of ancient literature. The society which doesn't understand most of this is called "western civilization" which prefers it's own child like myths, and that includes Darwin who never let facts get in the way. The Mahabharata written 2300 years ago has a diagram of a working space vehicle.

Most native American tribes will tell you they did not descent from monkeys, they were created by supernatural beings who came from the stars in flying ships. The Chinese will tell you the same.

In fact the Cheyenne symbol of the balance cross within a circle is Sumerian in origin. The Navajo language is pure Sumerian.

“Sitchin identifies the battles between Alalu and his descendants the basis basis for later Indian tales of battles the Indira vs Vrita fight even later Greek tales of the Titan vs God War. Indira/Vrita and Titan/Zeus are based on theAnzu/Ninurta and Adad tale the Nibirans dictated to the Sumerians. [Sitchin, Z., 1985,The Wars of Gods and Men, pages 91 -101]”

Enlil objected to Enki’s plan. ’Don’t create a Nibiran/Apeman slave class here on Earth,’ Enlil reminded Enki, “On our planet [Nibiru], slavery has long ago been abolished, tools are slaves, not other beings.” [Sitchin, ibid.] Ninurta added that to get gold better, Enki should make machines, not slaves. Enki replied, ’Earthlings we’ll create will be “helpers,” not slaves.’

Enlil still protested: hybrid cloning was forbidden in the Rules Of Planet To Planet Journeying. Enki’s response ’the team won’t create a new species; Erectus is our the genetic ancestor. He evolves into us — Homo Sapiens, Sapiens — the humans of Nibiru; we’ll just speed him along a few million years.’ *

“THE HYBRID ASTRONAUT/ERECTUS MALE HAS FORESKIN, WHICH THE ASTRONAUTS LACK”

“The baby, Adamu [One Who’s Like Earth’s Clay], looked like a dark red blood-colored, black-haired Nibiru child in every way except his penis. “They looked at its malehood; odd was its shape, by a skin was its forepart surrounded, unlike that of Anunnaki malehood it was. ’Let the Earthling from us Anunnaki by this foreskin be distinguished.’ So was Enki saying.” [Sitchin, op. cit. page 139]”

I've interbred with cro magnon women.

Got done with this article and all the comments. Man! Talk about beating a hornets nest with a stick! Its like its own little study on the abrasive quality of the interactions between the sub-species, or races of mankind. Like the song goes...Gotta keep'em separated....and whats funnier, the songs from the a group called "The Offspring"! Does life imitate art, or what!

There was mention of Berkeley. When reading anything on THIS subject comming out of UC Berkeley, you can be certain that nothing will bear their name unless it adheres to strick political correctness, which to this institution is more important than the truth itself. In Berkeley, It is even offensive to call some one with no eyes "blind".

My favorite moronisities are first, everybody was black in the "begining" and that skin color is a enviromentaly induced expression. The African tribes on the equator are so black they have a blue tint to them. They even have blue gums. Tribes of indios living in the same climatic conditions in the Amazon are more often quite pale in comparison. Same sun, same planet, same equator. How many generations does it take for this "Magic Marker" to start coloring people in this politically correct coloring book?

Then, there is this mind-numbing obsession with skin color itself. It is a factor that is the most recognizable, true, but you often hear it as the war cry of the so-called "anti racists". "We are being judged and persecuted for the color of our skin". If there are indeed negative associations being made it is not due to the darker colors. If that were so why do whites go to tanning saloons?

The so-called races have more important, not so visable differences that can be used for research. There are skeletal differences as well as race specific diseases, soft tissue composition and much more. There are many ways to identify and thus validate the existence of the races without even seeing what skin color they have. It is the most controversial yet least important factor.

I mention all this because if we will not make lucid deductions from the living, breathing examples of humanity alive today , how can we ever glean any real understanding from a pile of bones?

Then, there is the issue of Incest and reproduction. This subject is really the tip of a big, and I mean BIG ugly iceberg. What we consider moral norms today are infact very recent additions to mainsteam politics, that are artificially created and upheld with much show of force. The big ones are Personal liberty, Religious Freedom, Slavery, Gender roles and the duration and status of Childhood.

Incest was and is present whenever Endogamy is practiced and not Exagomy. In short, cultures who stole women reproduced in a different dynamic than those that kept it "close to home". Endo- to fold into, Exo- to fo spread outward. Stealing women could be replaced by diplomacy and the results would be the same.

In the indigenous parts of todays world and all of the ancient world, a girl was ready to reproduce after menstruation began .In the modern world that will get you 10 to 20 years. Children did not have the same status as they do in the modern world. Not too long ago, as soon as they could comprehend a task it was expected of them, needless to say, children had a high level of competency then, you could say we have over compensated for this and now look around you! This cultural change only protects the childs exploitation by its imediate family and comunity and reserves it for exploitation by society itself. Either way, the kids are screwed.

The other factors don't really pertain to this thread. Lets just say, that today the weak are our new heros and back then the rule of daily life was, "put up or shut up".

You think only "whites" are involved in these studies, or are interested in the results? I find that kind of funny, but also sort of sad.
