In the year 1536, a pivotal event in history unfolded as Henry VIII ordered the execution of his second wife, Anne Boleyn, at the Tower of London. This act, notorious for its brutality, stands as evidence of the tyrannical nature of the King, who sought an heir to secure his reign. However, beneath the surface, a complex conspiracy emerged, orchestrated by the influential figures in Henry's court. Henry's pursuit of personal pleasure had given rise to an unconventional relationship with his government, paving the way for the King's advisors to amass power. This court became a breeding ground for division and intrigue.

Anne's miscarriages and the King's fall from a horse served as catalysts for this conspiracy. Key among the orchestrators was Thomas Cromwell, who saw an opportunity for revenge, blaming Anne for the demise of his mentor, Cardinal Wolsey. Cromwell, a master manipulator, carefully engineered Anne's downfall. Original documents at the British Library unveil the extent to which the men surrounding Henry were pulling the strings. The evidence presented to the King portrayed Anne as a sinner in his eyes, and her execution became inevitable.
