Satellite Photos for archaeological discoveries

Satellite Photos lead to new archaeological discoveries

Using satellite images to monitor sites from orbit, provides information that can lead to new discoveries of underground structures. The reason for that is that any underground structure will alter the vegetation on the surface and viewing the site from space will give you a clear picture of vegetation patterns that will develop because of that change.

Furthermore using a radar that satellites carry could give even more detailed information on underground structures therefore identifying sites that haven’t been excavated. Taking into account that radar can go through clouds and is independent of day or night or any other adherent condition, this type of observation gives an even higher accuracy in identifying ancient undiscovered spots.

Furthermore, taking into account that satellite images are available to everyone, it gives the opportunity to everyone to do their research for undiscovered monuments. Maybe you will be the one that will make the next major discovery!
