Michael Ledo is the author of a number of titles including: On Earth as it is in Heaven: The Cosmic Roots of the Bible , The Scripture in the Stars , The Bible before Scripture , The Bible Astrology Handbook , The Secret Astrology of the Bible , and Bible Bloopers: Evidence that Demands a Verdict Too!

Michael Ledo has worked as both a radiological chemistry technician and an NRRPT certified radiological controls technician. Currently, he works at the Savannah River National Laboratory. In 1996, he published Bible Bloopers: Evidence That Demands a Verdict Too ! with the Atlanta Freethought Society.  He has appeared on talk radio with Sean Hannity and has led seminars at the World Atheist Conference in Atlanta.

Drawing upon an idea that the Bible stories are actually cosmic myths, Mr. Ledo began extensive research into comparative mythology, looking at common base elements in tales as a way to connect them.  What he has discovered is a new way to look at ancient origins.

The Bible was constructed as a living document, with much of its text expanded as time went on. If readers stripped away this added material, they could actually be left with a Bronze Age text, over a thousand years older than what is currently accepted by scholars. This text would be a veritable cosmic myth which follows the constellations with stories in a contiguous fashion that combine both history and myth.

Relevant and provocative, On Earth as it is in Heaven: The Cosmic Roots of the Bible gives fresh, thought-provoking interpretations of Biblical heroes. Ledo identifies Moses, David, and Solomon as having their roots in historical figures, but not the ones we think.

Our Mission

At Ancient Origins, we believe that one of the most important fields of knowledge we can pursue as human beings is our beginnings. And while some people may seem content with the story as it stands, our view is that there exists countless mysteries, scientific anomalies and surprising artifacts that have yet to be discovered and explained.

The goal of Ancient Origins is to highlight recent archaeological discoveries, peer-reviewed academic research and evidence, as well as offering alternative viewpoints and explanations of science, archaeology, mythology, religion and history around the globe.

We’re the only Pop Archaeology site combining scientific research with out-of-the-box perspectives.

By bringing together top experts and authors, this archaeology website explores lost civilizations, examines sacred writings, tours ancient places, investigates ancient discoveries and questions mysterious happenings. Our open community is dedicated to digging into the origins of our species on planet earth, and question wherever the discoveries might take us. We seek to retell the story of our beginnings.
